Week three of the loquat wine-making experiment (not gedankenexperiment -- see I used it in a sentence). I have filtered the fruit out and placed the juice in a 5-gallon jar that is now out of sight and will sit and ferment for a while. The fermentation process has begun. I tasted some of the fruit and it was quite heady -- and delicious. Wish I had some vanilla ice cream to put it on.

FJL, are you finished with jury duty or are you still waiting to be called for a jury?

Sunday afternoon greetings!  My sister and her husband had 9 guests with them for church this morning and enough guests at their reception between services to devour an entire sheet cake.  The 11 family members then all went out for brunch afterwards.  We've now dispersed and Mom is down for a nap - I won't be far behind!

I realized that from that particular angle and due to the Vixter's height, a beam of sunlight coming through  stained glass in the choir loft fell right across her face causing her face and hair to indeed glow -

LOL :)

Here was the story in the paper about my friend, Peggy. It's truthful in its depiction of her, but not in how horribly she was treated there (along with so many others).

Per yesterday's request from DR KevinH, here is a picture from my sister's wedding in which I appear (the shrimp on the left...):

I can't see a photo either, DR Ginny!

Last night I met my friend from Florida, Robin, at Roslyn Kind's concert at Brooklyn College.  It was a "welcome home" for Roz.  She was great, even though the sound left a lot to be desired.  She mentioned that she was hearing an echo and they eventually made the sound better.  Afterwards there was a little reception where an award was given to Ms. Kind.  She was very warm and personable.

I went to see Other Desert Cities this afternoon.  The acting was superb--I enjoyed it very much.

Tonight I'm going to a fundraiser for the Trevor Project at the Laurie Beechman Theater.  There are many singers performing, including HHW fave, Mr. Barrett.  My trip this weekend had been planned for months (to see Roslyn Kind), so it's a little bonus that Brent's performing too.

We took Sherlock to town today and ate lunch in the lobby of the Ashland Springs Hotel .

We were served from the adjoining restaurant.  We had a corner to ourselves by the window and Sherlock was very comfortable.  We also gave him lots of treats from our plates.

Before & after lunch we took short walks through town.  On the way back to the car we stopped for me to have a peppermint stick ice cream cone, just a junior scoop, and sat on their patio.

And the word of the day is: GEDANKENEXPERIMENT!

Could you use that in a sentence?

The word of the day is Gedankenexperiment.     There, I used it in a sentence
