Last night I loaded all the Anthony Trollope books I could find on to my ereader. I already have lots of books on the device but now I have even more. He was prolific. John G. mentions Trollope and a couple of years ago we watched some British adaptations of his work and I was intrigued. I found much of his work on Gutenberg and ManyBooks.net so it was easy to download them. I don't have a lot of the nonfiction writing, though I do have some of his travel work, North America Volumes 1 and 2 and some others. It will take a long time to read it all but now I have it so let the reading begin.

Good morning, all! I am up and moving about, I've ttaken care of my online banking, caught up on the posts and had my first cup of coffee. I have  very little to report beyond that at the moment.

This morning, I am meeting my colleague Curtis at Toyland. We're cleaning out the storage area, pitching a lot of empty cartons we've accumulated over ten years, and getting the place organized for our May 17 summit conference with the powers shutting us down. Since Toyland is now rubble, I have no idea what the Institute will pack up and ship to California, Cambridge, Library of Congress, or the nearest dump.

I'm hoping that he and I can purchase the office equipment, furniture, printers (all on their last legs), binder, for our new office (keep them office vibes coming!) since I can't imagine the Institute would want to haul it off and store it somewhere. We do want the place looking good for the summit meeting.

If the rain stops and the weather dries up, after locking down Toyland, I may cart the masters of the full scorefor DEAREST ENEMY over to Rodgers & Hammerstein, which is a block away from Toyland.

More coffee!

Ben, I hope you enjoy the Trollope novels. One word of advice: Get the order of the two series, Palliser and Barsetshire, so you can follow those as the great story unfolds. I  don't know how many you'll want to read, but I hope you enjoy them.

TOD: My favorite movie theater candy as a kid was Sno-Caps, chocolate dipped in nonpareils. I haven't had those in decades. A box of them would definitely be verboten on my diet, but I would like to try one or two just to see if they are still pleasing to me.

DR DOUG R - did you mention something about working on a recording when you were on the continent? Are you in the music business?

JRand61: No I'm not in the music business. I was simply invited to attend the recording sessions of the film score "Quo Vadis" in Prague

When I started getting the books I looked around and found a list of the Palliser and Barsetshire Collections. I have put them in a "collection" on the reader so I can read them in the order they were written.

It's raining in Manhattan also.

Apparently there are Occupy plans today. Union Square Park is one of the main locations. I work half a block from USP. As I came to the office I noticed barricades. I assume when I go out for lunch there will be a large police presence as well.

Larry, be prepared for some subway disruptions. I don't know what the plans are but according to news stories they are going to try and shut down some parts of the city.

Ghost, the Musical and Spiderman, Turn Off the Dark actually got Tony nominations. Not for Best Musical, but they still got nominations. Wow!

2012 Tony Nominees

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this, DR Ben! While I think Danny deserves best actor in a musical, I wonder if he and Ron will split the vote.

I'm pushing for ONCE to take everything.

Thanks for the link DR BEN.  Most interesting and eclectic.  I shall concur with you and DR ELMORE since you are both in NYC.....and lean toward ONCE.

2012 Tony Nominees

Thanks for the link, DR Ben.

Looking over the list is kind of sad.  It wasn't a stand out season, was it?

When a Wildhorn score can get a nomination...

The play is pure tabloid trash. But many people consider Traci Bennet's performance amazing. I am not in that group. She does a good job but it's not remotely Judy. I do like Michael Cumpsty and was glad to see he got a nomination.
