Kids are so funny sometimes. My niece is almost 3. She seems fine except for her cough. And she has had a low fever. But she's been eating and playing.

Anyhow i say to her, "you don't seem sick to me". And her reply: "well i seem sick to myself" :)

Good, especially since you have to take care of your un-sick, sick niece. ;)  When Craig had pneumonia in 4th grade he really felt rather good until he began the antibiotics.  Fortunately I knew how sick he was.

I am not feeling too well today. It really came completely out of the blue. Went for a bike ride yesterday. Felt fine. And then in the evening my throat just started hurting. And by the time i went to bed it was killing. So odd for me.

I took motrin and it feels a bit better. And i turned on the humifier which i had forgotten to turn on for a couple of weeks. So hopefully that helps.

Unfortunately i have a little guest today.  My niece has been fighting a bug (she threw up on sunday night, has had a mild fever and now a cough). She is a handful. All i want to do is lie down. I was able to do while she watched a dvd. But then she jumped on my bed saying "hungry! I"m hungry".

At least she still takes a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. So i will be able to sleep then.

Actually i didn't get to sleep. She did not go down for very long. And then she was screaming my name. Anyhow i will go get my other niece at school and then i can come home and rest at 5:30pm.

I think I want to go to the movies this weekend, if I can find the time. "Bernie" opens  today and you can definitely see my friend Deb in the previews. (I'm sitting next to her, so it will be fun to see the context of all the scenes we filmed.) I also want to see all the Brits in the "Marigold Hotel" thing. Sounds like the kind of movie I love. Two "Downton Abbey" stars and  Judi Dench. They could be reading the ingredient labels of tofu products and I'd probably watch.

Wow, don't miss that performance.

A restaurant here is actually serving a tofu creme brulee. The sound of that made me gag.

Betsy and I are still waiting with bated breath to see if we're going to be carted away by the tree police for having the temerity to have branches pruned.
It's off to horticulture camp for you.

And that reminds me of: You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.

That's Elmore's favorite quote. ;)

Well, OK, "In Cold Blood" vs. "First Nudie Musical." I think you chose right, ChasSmith.

Had a nice lunch meeting, then picked up two packages and an important envelope, but not another overseas errant and truant package, this one more errant and truant than the errant and truant one that arrived Wednesday.  Hopefully tomorrow.
