Caption for DR CillaLiz's pic from last night:

"Well-l-l-l-l-l, ya got trouble, my friend!
Right here, I say trouble right here in River City..."

Here's my entry:

No, I had him!
His throat was there beneath my hand.
I had swear I had him!
His throat was there and now he'll never come again.

:D

And mine:

"And look at you, sir! You're out in public with mascara and eye liner and lipstick, but why are you wearing that blue shirt and those trousers? Wouldn't a nice sun dress work better with your makeup?"

Re: LEAP OF FAITH

No wonder my friend, who is a producer of that show, has invited me to see it TOMORROW.

Great cameos....Marc Kudisch, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Hinton Battle, who was the preacher in the church scene...and it was great to hear Leslie Odom Jr. sing ( Tom's boyfriend, Sam)....looking forward to seeing him in LEAP OF FAITH.

I think in addition to working with Miss Judy Garland.....Mr Mort Lindsey was the musical director on Merv Griffin's show  - so may MR BK worked with him....

I think he was also at one time - father in law of Mr Burt (Robin) Ward.

I believe I remember a rather long segment of THERE'S MEL about Mort Lindsey from BK's appearance on the show.

DR JMK I had to stop subscribing to a couple of magazines because of the scented sample cards that were always included.  I tried to go to their websites and get the sample free edition.....but my request was never acknowledged.

Yes, been there, done that.  Somehow we started getting both GQ and Vanity Fair, despite never having subscribed to either, and they both stank so bad I just started throwing them right into the garbage.

I just got a kind of outre "Bossa Nova" album by jazz singer Chris Connor arranged by Patrick Williams.  No real bossa tunes, just American pop with a beat.

I'm really tired, because of the thunderstorm last night. I hope I can focus on my paper when I get home.

Thankfully, culinary magazines don't usually have fragrance ads in them. I refuse to accept any of those.

Musical conductor

Mort Lindsey

has died.

Maurice, Mort, which M is next?

Had no idea he was still alive.  Great guy and, of course, is talked about in There's Mel, for those who've read that book.  Some here have, some here haven't.  Go know.

Yes, as I just posted before reading your post.  There's even a page of Mort's chart for one of my songs in the photo section.

I may have missed this....I am a "lurker", after all....but I didn't realize that Anjelica Huston's grandfather, Walter Huston, sang "September Song" in the 1938 musical KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY.

Very touching.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I hope that I can tonight after the TAO board meeting.
