I've bought a Kindle! I'd been thinking for some time about whether to get one but wasn't really sure because I like the look and feel of a book but I thought it will at least be useful when travelling.

Since the madman sent me a copy of his original email in which he let the company know that every thought I put down came from his extensive work at the Library of Congress, I thought I'd ask the librarians if he indeed did much in the way of helping them with their Herbert knowledge and finding aid. So I senrt a copy of those paragraphs from his email to one of the librarians mentioned in it. The response from DC, which I just forwarded to New World Records was this: "This is such bullshit!"

I feel I'm very fair about crediting everyone I feel deserves a credit, but this person did nothing and claims he did it all! He's like the person standing in front of the National Theatre, when Hugh Jackman opened in OKLAHOMA!, claiming he, not Rodgers, composed the score.

And that goes back to my earlier question: why should we be blackmailed emotionally by a person calling me a thief into acknowledging? Sometimes, when you can't get no satisfaction, it's because you did nothing to deserve it!

That feeling of professional impotence is powerful. People get angry when others do what they feel is their dream project or that they are the most knowledgeable about. That doesn't mean they contributed, though.

I don't think you'll be satisfied with giving him online credit when he didn't deserve it.
