TOD:

It will be a busy weekend so not much media wise other than what is on the DVR...THE OFFICE, MODERN FAMILY, and HAPPILY DIVORICED episodes from this week, I think.

On Raaga.com I am listening to my newly created station of vintage Bollywood mythological songs...so I am hearing a lot of hari Ram, hari Krisha and jai, jai Vishnu right now.

Wednesday was my grand-nephew Cole's 4th birthday. It was Mickey Mouse themed.

Speaking of gluten, I've gone gluten-free during the past few weeks,,,and it has made me feel much better.

Like DR Druxy, I gave up flour, sugar, starches, etc about the third week of April.  I haven't been 100% successful in totally eliminating these items becase of parties, etc... But I've dropped some weight and I feel SO much better in general.  I've explored other flours, etc and that has been fun also.  I learned about the glycemic index and what types of sugars and flours to avoid.  It's all really healthy and good.  On days I "cheat", it's easy to get right back on when you remember how good you feel when you eat this way.
And my department decided to hold a dessert extravaganza this morning, and I succumbed to temptation. I'm ready to fall into a coma right now.

Since we're giving up gluten and carbs today, it will be easy to give up these:

I just downloaded 10 songs from SMASH on iTunes, then burned them onto a CD.

Several of my favorites are not on the official album, so this way I could pick and choose.

I am curious which ones are your favorites?  There are some very catchy tunes.

My friend Kim Criswell has a role in the new comedy with Hugh Dancy about the invention of the vibrator, HYSTERIA; perhaps there will be dancing dildos.

I hope I can see it this weekend. It's playing at Lincoln Plaza at 64th and Broadway.

Here's the Lincoln Plaza blurb about the film:
HYSTERIA, a mischievously inspired romantic comedy set in the late 19th century, is based on the surprising truth of how Mortimer Granville came up with the world's first electromechanical vibrator in the name of medical science. The film stars Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy, alongside Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones.

I'd rather see this than THE IRON LADY!

Great cast - Jonathan Pryce, be still my heart!  Still don't think I'll chance it...
