First film withsubtitles was WILD STRAWBERRIES.  Yawn!  I still remember that the clock had no face, and then the man turned around and he had no face.  I guess it meant something.
LOL.

DR JOHNG - I have a friend who knows  two of  the children of Mr Cameron Mitchell up in Canada.  They - especially Cam, Jr. or Chip, now and then indulge in acting.  Camille made a couple of movies - one with her father and brother - a silly sci-fi film that was featured on MST3K at one time....Space Mutiny.  Two other children of the marriage did not go into acting.

Their mother was Cameron's first wife and was the heiress to a LARGE Canadian meat packing fortune.

Cameron met some floozy on a movie set in the mid fifties, divorced his wife, sort of, and married the other woman and had more children......but his first wife was still in love with him, and they maintained a civil relationship for the children.

During Cameron's last illness, he returned to Canada, and lived with his first wife who paid all of his costly medical bills.

Through my friend, for some reason, both Cam, Jr, and Camille sent me autographed photos...which are very nice to have, although I don't know why.
Maneater of Hydra was dubbed. Badly dubbed. My favorite was the Italian putzfrau who was made to sound like a nagging New Yawker

TOD - subtitles.  We even use them when we're watching movies in English...

So do we.

So do I. Especially when watching American films  ;D

TOD-subtitles.  I can't remember the first movies I saw with them.   My favorite subtitle story was when I went to LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL with my book club.  When we left the movie theater one woman said  "Wasn't that amazing, after about the first half of the movie they were speaking in English".   I couldn't convince her that she had just gotten used to the subtitles.

Glad to hear the report on The Music Man.  I think it's silly to change the costuming on a show that's so clearly a period piece, but glad to hear it has many good things going for it and that DR Jose is doing well.

The cats are hilarious. they aren't used to me being home so much for more than 2 days in a row.  They are all over me today, one after the other.  Nice to know I'm loved, :)

OK, time to do something.  Maybe just make lunch. I went to the Farmer's Market and the grocery store, so I'm stocked up.

This morning my mom and I went to Winners. They were having a sort of reopening. Although i don't think they were ever closed. They were giving out $20 gift cards and donuts. Yummy!  I wasn't sure if there would be 10 people lined up or hundreds. When Dora was there recently there were hundreds and hundreds of people lined up.

DR Jane re: Lisa Gardner's "The Survivors Club, why don't you just take the book out of the library as a hardcover or paperback. How can there be 34 people waiting for the ebook? Must be a lot of libraries put together.

I think that may be the only Lisa Gardner book that i did not read (if it is a single). I prefer her series. Although i will definitely read it at some point. I just can't keep up with the authors i currently read.

Danise, I'm pleased you are so happy with your new pillow. I am very picky with my pillows. I've been using an eggcrate cervical pillow for many years, which has served me very well but is now wearing out. I've never tried the side-sleeper pillows; maybe I will.

That's actually acceptable (though not preferable).

TOD:
Not sure, but first subtitles may have been SUNDAYS AND CYBELE. IIRC, BK told me about the film.

I prefer subtitles.
