Quote from: Dear Lurker Iris on May 27, 2012, 10:48:16 AMSo strange to see a notice for "earthquake restoration" in Washington, D.C., DR Ginny.Yes, DL Iris, they were telling us at church that they didn't have earthquake insurance and the National Cathedral didn't, either. Who'd have thought they'd need it?

And I liked "See What I Wanna See".
Here are some lillies I have growing in my front yard.
Concert report cont'd: Jan Horvath and George Dvorsky sang "Another Opening...," and a short Irving Berlin medley and "You're Not Sick, You're Just in Love." It was funny when Jan sang the line "put your head on my shoulder"--George had to really lean down to do that--I think he's about 6'4" tall.Jan sang "I'm a Brass Band" and "If They Could See Me Now" and George sang "All I Care About is Love." Their solo showstoppers were "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" and especially "Bring Him Home."
Fairly new sign at the church we attended this mornig:
Watching a lousy movie called "Bad Actress." Doubt I will finish it.
We have almost completed the shopping for Zach's incipient trip to China in a couple of weeks. The shopping list is quite odd. They don't want the kids to bring any cotton clothing since they want stuff to be able to dry quickly. Finding non-cotton t-shirts has been quite the adventure.
Staying at a hotel close to the airport ready for early morning flight. First hotel I've been to where you check in automatically at a screen which prints out all details andissues a room key card.
I just had a visit from the charming and delightful DR / DD Ann. I had to send her an e-mail asking if she could possibly go and pick up my pain pills for me. She very sweetly did just that. My other friend ( who llives about a block and a half from the pharmacy) informed me that she was no longer available to help me on weekends. Oh well.
Did Jane and Keith already head out on their trip? Whoops, sorry, none of my business.

It sounds like he will be hand washing all of his clothes.

But having them buy all new t-shirts seems a bit much.
