So, I'm sorting DVDs that U've been sent and bootlegs I've purchased. why do I have a DVD of Yvonne de Carlo in SONG OF SCHEHERAZADE? I don't recall having any particular need for that film, funny as it is.

Back from a two-mile jog, poached eggs on toast, picking up a package and an important envelope, and banking.

We had lots of fun at my nephew's graduation last night.

Today we trawled at Cheapos, a local used CD and record store. It's not as good as it was in the old days but we still had fun. Anthony is looking for a copy of the Partridge Family Bulletin Board to complete his collection Partridge Family LPs. He had it eons ago when he was a youth but over the years it went missing.

We returned to the Best Western Plus (it's a nice place). Anthony went to the Exercise Room, I napped and then we went to the pool and the sauna.

Anthony is now napping and will rise soon for his afternoon ablutions. We will then head over to my brother's house for the official Graduation and 18th Birthday party for Joe (my nephew).

We have no plans for tomorrow, other than me printing out our boarding passes for the Monday flight home.

Bye for now.

It's not often we hear BK rave about a movie. I've put TOO LATE BLUES into my Netflix queue, but it's in the Saved section, as they apparently don't have a copy yet. Harrumph!

PBS is showing the 2009 BBC version of WUTHERING HEIGHTS. My God, those Bronte women were tortured!

I've spent the last month or so looking into back braces. I've worn one before. Although they are cumbersome (well, that one was), it did help. There are some new technologies available. I'm now trying out the Serola sacroiliac belt. My osteopath said it's what they recommend to their patients, but it doesn't help everyone. I must say it's very, very comfortable. It's worn around your hips, comes in several sizes, and is VERY adjustable. It remains to be seen how much it helps me. My back problems are not typical and are more difficult to address.

Dr Serola has a website that explains the belt.

There's another new technology, as well, the Incredibrace. It's worn like a traditional back brace, but with a new type of fabric. They make several sorts of braces, including those for the knee and wrist. If the Serola doesn't help, I'll try an Inredibrace.

When I first read that there was going to be a stage version of THE EXORCIST starring Richard Chamberlain and Brook Shields opening at the Geffen in L.A in July; I was horrified.  However when I read that it was being directed by John Doyle; well I can't even put words to it.

the fact he's directing it means it will be a terrifying production. I thought he was a nice gentleman, but his production of WHERE'S CHARLEY? at Encores! convinced me, after detesting his SWEENEY TODD, that he's not a very good director.

Thanks, DR DOUG, for the Kiev photos and commentary. Most interesting!

There's a very deep Metro station at the Pentagon, IIRC. It is indeed a strange experience, even for experienced subway riders.

Best wishes to one and all!
