Well, you've read the notes, the notes basked in the glow, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently basking in the glow just because they can.

Good morning, all. Very early there, I'm sure, but it's shortly after 9 a.m. here. Off to the villages today to see what's what.

Breakfast in 20 minutes and then off to the airport and security and our flight back to LGA. It's been a great trip but now it's time to return to reality.

I'll post again when I get back to NYC.

Good mornng, all! The big question today is whether or not I will hear from the plumber and super about this leak. I've adjusted my schedule so that I can spend today and tomorrow here; I've plenty of work so that's no problem. I just don't want this thing dragging out. I've too much else to deal with beyond waiting for the crew to fix this leak.

So, today I'll write the synopsis of EILEEN, work on the shw's history, and see how far I get.

BK, great news on last night's performance!

Since I was up early enough,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More safe travel vibes to our DR Ben and Ant! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can't figure out where my bathroom leak is coming from. It's intermittent and doesn't seem related to any running of water. I have a maintenance contract for plumbing emergenies but I don't know if this qualifies as an emergency.
TOD:
I'll have to go back to what I said recently about the first subtitled film I saw. That was THE WAGES OF FEAR which was also the first foreign film I saw in a cinema at the age of eight.  However my father had a 9.5mm projector and before the age of eight I saw several German made silent films from the UFA studio such as Ludwig Berger's 1923 film DER VERLORENE SCHUR (aka CINDERELLA). A delightful film which I can still recall (Berger went on to part-direct the 1940 THIEF OF BAGDAD)
EDIT: Found a web page about the film, from an article originally published in "Amateur Cine World", which I used to buy : http://www.silentsaregolden.com/hav%20bulleid/cinderellapage.html
After the brief hot weather, it's now turned extremely cold again. At least it solves my broken fridge problem - I now just leave the food outside the house :)
TOD: Cocteau's "Beauty and the Beast." It was on the Million Dollar Movie one afternoon after school. Remains one of my favorite movies of all time, especially those wall lamps, which are arms in the wall holding up candles.  When they moved, I was more fascinated than by any dancing object in a Disney movie.
Had the most incredible mushroom lasagna today with housemade noodles so rich in egg that you had to taste it to believe. And the mushrooms were spectacular.
I am in charge of making dinner tonight. We found good mozzarella and burrata at the market, so there will be a Caprese salad with some fresh tomatoes and basil. Roast chicken. Mac and cheese. Sauteed zucchini. And cheeses with some fruit/honey/chocolate for dessert. And vino.
Yes, great film. I think the first time I saw it was at the age of about twelve when it was on TV.  One of the UK satellite channels here recently showed it in HD.
Gee that sounds good! I love mushrooms. Which reminds me, it's time for lunch - a pork chop.
If you like stories of the Supernatural:
I've still got a very few copies of my book BLACK WATCH/THE CAVERN (2 complete screenplays) left from my recent appearance at Texas Frightmare Weekend.  Since I don't have any horror conventions or appearances scheduled for the next few months, I thought I'd offer SIGNED copies on-line to anybody who would like one.
They are $13.00+$5.00 shipping (USA only); $18.00 total.
Here's the trailer for this book:
PayPal is fine.  Please contact me if interested.
Thanks.
Monday morning greetings!  It's a fairly quiet week in our household and we're easing into the day.  Here's a great photo from the University of Michigan Alumni Association that appeared on Facebook:
About a year ago, in Atlanta, I had coffee with one of my Facebook Vera Bradley friends, Amy.  She wiped out yesterday on her bicycle and is hospitalized with a broken jaw, lacerated chin, a skull fracture, and brain swelling.  And, yes, she was wearing a helmet!  Vibes for her would be appreciated.
