Anthony read from Frog and Toad at the ceremony which is why the two figures are there with the cake.

Here's another picture. It's Anthony and me cutting the cake, which was given to us by his cousin. Anthony was going to get a cake from Food Emporium (a local grocery store) and Renee said NO, NO, NO! She got the cake from a place in Brooklyn called

Betty Bakery

It was a wonderful cake full of chocolate, cream and wrapped in fondant.

I have had fon-do, but not fon-dont.

Well, I'm off to a Theater Artists Olympia Publicity Committee meeting.

I hope it doesn't last for three hours...again. ::)

;)

Be back later!

Is anyone watching the Jubilee?

Is it shown on BBC?  I can't find the damn channel.

I wasn't watching it when I posted this.  Mom said Dad was watching it all day, just wondered if anyone had been watching

I was driving on the freeway and thinking how great it was that I'd be home by 9:50 when I heard a horrifying sound and the car started to swerve - I realized instantly a tire had blown - the right rear - but I was very quick-thinking, took control and thankfully I'd already passed most of the cars so there was no one around me.  I was all the way to the left, so I made my way over to the extreme right lane right near the Forest Lawn off-ramp - there was something too off-putting and creepy about that off-ramp, so I bumped along another half-mile to the Buena Vista off-ramp, got off and pulled over at Riverside and Buena Vista.  Called the AAA and I must say they got the assistance to me in ten minutes.  He put on the baby tire - there was almost no tire left, but thankfully the rim was fine.  Then I came home.  First thing in the morning I'll go to my neighborhood Firestone tire dealer and get a new tire.

Yikes!  Good thing that you were able to get off the road easily.  This happened to me quite a while ago...but when I went to get a new tire, they told me that I had to get two.  The wear on the treads needed to be even on the front pair of tires and the back pair of tires.
