It drizzled earlier and now the sun is shining.

Anthony is working on a retirement card for a friend of ours.

I've been playing Angry Birds and Freecell.

That is all.

Had one visitor, am about to have another, then it will be time to go to the mail place and then eat - I'm thinking about making some pasta here, but then again, I may just go out and get something to eat.

Actually, now that I think about it, pasta for the Tony Awards sounds like a better bet.

How could we get by, Fred, without you?

So many have tried to get by without me, and what's become of them, classmates who've gone on to become governors, presidents, supreme court lawyers and justices, heads of multinational corporations, ........      er, er, er, what was my point again?

Speaking of Michael Landon, he is buried near my parents.  They do not have as fine a spot as he does.

Does he have his own entrance into his crypt?

He has his own entrance, but there is no exit.

Back from 2 hours at the garage sale and 2 hours of errands.  First thing I did when I got home was close the windows and turn on the AC.  Guess summer's back in SW Ohio...

Gross-out moment at the garage sale - when a lady bought 2 - count 'em, 2 - used curling irons  :P

I don't think anyone has joined him in there, so far as you can't see any plaques.  I believe his "drawer" as I call them is to the right of the door.

I haven't been in way too long a time.  In the past there were always notes and flowers as shown in the photo.

That is horrible, and yet I laughed. :)

OK, so the Osmonds clip could actually be worse than Cher singing all the parts of "Tonight" from "West Side Story." And that's saying something.

Thanks, Danise.

I'm in Rome today and too tired now to post any more photos. I leave tomorrow. So, I'll be off for a few days.

I think Rome is wonderful, but it's also too hectic  and noisy after a relaxing week away from  people. The throngs are just enormous, everywhere you turn. We went to the Trevi Fountain and you had to fight to get near the water. We saw the Spanish steps but didn't go near them for the same reason. There just wasn't enough time to get anywhere near the Coliseum or the Vatican or any place like that. Another trip.

You never try to visit the Vatican during the summer months (including June).  It was crowded when I was there in November, but you were still able to breathe and you could actually stand next to some of these people without the fumes killing you..

T.O.D.

For some strange reason, during the last 15 to 20 years, I have found it harder and harder to watch movies more than once.

The ones I used to love over and over:

HEAVEN CAN WAIT
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS (Original cut)
DAMN YANKEES
DARK AT THE  TOP OF THE STAIRS
SINGIN' IN THE RAIN
TIME AFTER TIME

Hello, everyone.

I'm glad TFNM midnight showing went so well. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. I just don't have BK's stamina.

Interesting that there were two mentions of William Castle and STRAIGHTJACKET here this week. I watched it for the first time this week and thought it was beautifully done. No one does creepy like Joan Crawford. I think she has her own flavor of creepy.
