Can't help but notice that in MY zone (a.k.a. the Eastern time zone), it is now past noon.  And we are still on Page One.

I couldsay that most of the dear readers have not gotten home from church yet; but with a few exceptions, I doubt anyone would buy it.

This morning, I went to the Theater Artists Olympia's storage unit and helped sort costumes and stuff to either be kept or sold at our upcoming garage sale.  We sorted for about an hour and a half and won't keep as much as we're going to sell...well, make available for sale.  Who knows if they'll actually be bought.

What do directors see in that scrawny, underbite-afflicted Keira Knightley? It was bad enough that she was Elizabeth Bennett. Now she's Anna Karenina in a new movie.

Victoria Clark works, too!

It's my favortie time of day: thinking about dinner.

OMG, a mother-daughter act. Quick, start casting "A Glass Menagerie."

Perhaps even a musical version in which Laura's animals come to life and dance.

A possible "Outside the Box" episode?

DR Elmore, did you see that guy doing Victoria Clark in his epic Broadway diva youtube that Matthew posted a couple of weeks ago? It's about 10:50, I believe.

I was at church all morning. Then after I got home I cooked some of the squash someone brought to give away.

Isn't it kind of early for squash?  What type was it?

True, but I'm not nearly as bad as I used to be, and over the past year I've gotten rid of tons of extraneous stuff of my own.  I shall always love finding the GOOD STUFF.  I'm just a lot more choosy.

Oh, Jane. Season 5 of DOC MARTIN is available at Netflix, but there's a long wait.

Thank you, now I know our local DVD rental store will have it.  Those long waits are why we dropped our NetFlix account.

This morning, I got up, got dressed and left.  I haven't taken a shower yet. ::) But now, I must.  I also have some laundry to do.  I'll do that after my shower.  I also need to make copies of the Tony Awards DVD for a couple of people here who've asked for copies.

So, who wants a copy of the Tony Awards?

Anna is one of my all-time favorite books. I loved it so much I even went to the musical. And then I went and bought the CD, even though the score isn't one of my favorites.

That musical is atrocious! I'd rather be ht by the train than listen to it again.

He gives her, what? two seconds? seems about right. It's one of the most unpleasant soprano voices. Ever.

I saw Peters, and she was better than I expected. She might have been really good with a director's help. The gossip going around is that the FOLLIES revival had no director and the actors received no help from the ass with the title. I'm sure Clark worked hard at the role and wanted everyone in the audience to see how hard she was working, her usual approach to a role.

DR Jane re: the ebook article you posted last night.

I would definitely borrow ebooks if my library had new releases for kindle.

But right now they have only for kobo. And i don't even think they have that many new releases. So double no for me.

But since i get a lot of free/cheap ebooks from amazon, and a bunch of new ebooks from netgalley and a lot of new release hardcovers from the library I really don't mind not being able to check out ebooks.

Our library is now offering kindle books and the selection for those seems to be rapidly growing.  When I can't read the newer books in hardcover and they aren't available from the eBook library I must purchase them at the full price, which of course is what the publishers want.

Well they are not available for nook because we don't have any Barnes and Nobles here. And while you can buy kindles in two or three stores Chapters (the biggest bookstore in Canada) sells the kobo. So i think the libraries will only make the ebooks available for kobos.

Good thing you enjoy the hardcover books from the library.
