Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

BTW, the dogs are acting like nothing happened.  Sheena isn't even limping tonight.  Toby has been licking her ears and I can see that they are sore.  I think his little ear is sore as well.   I put salve on both of their ears.

I'm glad the limping has stopped and vibes the salve works.

Off to opening night of Aida  The run was really good this morning.  I'm excited about tonight.  I was hoping to sit in a seat and watch it, but I have to run the playback as the Stage Manager is a bit overwhelmed with things.  (he is also the lighting designer and tech director)  So, I'll get to stand in back and watch - and work.

Well, I'm off to rehearsal for "Titus Andronicus."  I hope that there's some sound and/or video slides for me to operate...'cause that's what I'll be there for.

Until later!

Went to Hard Rock Cafe for the first time tonight. For a freelance story. I need the money. Really need the money. I can write something nice, but, geez, it made me feel so old.

It was a movie that gave me nightmares when I was kid, but it also introduced me to the tango, which Debbie and Dennis Weaver did in the movie.

Watching "Memphis" tonight. The cast is great, much better than the material. I like watching them dance, even if the choreography is second-rate. And how many references to better shows, such as "West Side Story" and "Hairspray," are there?

MBarnum, here's a nice memorial of Rajesh Khanna that you might find interesting:

This week I finished reading the book FULL SERVICE written by DR MBarnum's boyfriend Scotty Bowers.  It was an interesting book.  I wish there was some way to know which parts of the book were factual and which ones were extensions of Mr. Bowers' imagination.  In particular, I wonder about his assertion that the romance between Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn was a total fabrication of the studios and the press agents.

Well, since Hepburn was a lesbian . . .

Well, that is what Scotty says, too.

Only the intimation I got was that she was Tracy's beard.

Well, Scotty said he fixed Katherine up with over 150 women.

I'm always very suspicious of these books that scandalize famous people after they are dead.

I don't consider being gay or lesbian to be scandalous, myself.

It does sound cool.  I kinda thought you could go for the kind you had.  After seeing the damage the other one took and you walked away from it, it tells me that is a good car to have.

Yeah, I kind of knew I'd get a Prius too, but thought I'd look around.  The more I looked the happier I was with what I've got.  My car salesman (I almost hate to admit I have a regular car salesman) has really become a friend.   I knew he'd work with me and he did.

I think I'm going to cancel the trip to Nashville.   I've missed so much work this week and am still sore.  It's only a week away and I may not even have the check to get the car by then.   I hate to cancel the trip, but I really think it makes more sense right now.  I'm not skittish to drive a car, but for some reason I'm a bit anxious about traveling

I spent the day near the Mexican border looking for butterflies with The Monarch Scientist.

Sounds like a wonderful day, but be careful near the border. It can be a dangerous place

I do have some, but I figured you were all tired of butterfly photos.

We were near the area where "Oklahoma!" was filmed.

Border Patrol always drives down the road. Lots of them. And all the officers are young enough to be my kid.
