Good morning, all!  The alarm went off this morning at 5:30, and tomorrow morning it will be set for 5:00am since I have to be at my doctor's office by 8 for a colonoscopy, preparations for which will take up my life after 5 pm today.

I plan to spend the day writing the contents on these 18 cartons and sealing them with packng tape for Tuesday's move and reading the new Lorenz Hart biography, which I am enjoying. Sort of.

my very best friend has been my friend since we met on a church retreat in 1972 --- we have not lived in the same state (and often not eh same country!) since 1977 when she joined the Air Force - sometimes months go by without us speaking  - but  40 years later she is still my dearest most treasured friend and I whenever we speak on the phone or see one another it is as if we have never been apart
