A Bob Fosse stamp:

Nice idea. But I'm not thrilled with it. At least the hat should be a derby not a top hat.

Golly, I was just telling Bk word was good on Into the Woods based on the buzz around these parts.

I think Mr. Riedel is reporting on the first night after the second night had already worked out the kinks, no?

BK:

Are you testing us to see who actually reads your notes?

and I quote from Today's notes"

"Can you believe that August is almost over already? This month has flown by, like a gazelle having a high colonic."

The last time look at bar in the upper right corner of my Mac, it says July 27.

I have no idea what you are talking about :)

So, I headed out earlier to do a couple of errands before my noon haircut appointment.  I was browsing around the public library when Tina, my hairdresser, called and asked if I could come in a little later.  We rescheduled to 4pm, so I came home for lunch and some laundry.

I stopped at the P.C Richard at 86th and Broadway, and a rather pissy older gentleman did some calculating and told me I need a model costing $580. When I told him i didn't want to pay that much, he dismissed me and that was that.  What an asshole.

Back from a two mile jog.  Shortly I will do errands and whatnot.  Meantime, the first two comments on our new Follies remix have been posted:

"Just got my copy!!! Excellent work. Love all the pictures. It's like I'm hearing it for the first time. I will be listening nonstop this weekend. Thanks BK and Kritzerland!!!"

"Wow!!!!

Listening to my copy now. A whole new experience. THANK YOU!"

Good morning, all! I slept poorly and I know that at some point this afternoon I will fall over in a daze. Even with two fans blowing on me, the apartment is too damned hot. If I don't go shopping for a portable AC this afternoon, it will happen tomorrow morning.

Last night during our final "Titus" rehearsal, the projector kept turning itself off!  At first, we didn't know what was happening, but we figured that it was just too hot in the little theater.  After the show, one of the actors noticed that the thermostat was turned UP! :o That got changed very quickly!  I said that I had a little clip-on fan and that I would bring it to help keep the projector cool, but I couldn't find it.  I'll go to the store and buy a new one.  I know I'll want another one if I've lost the first one.

TOD, cont.

I'm also going to be listening to the "final" audio book version (and note any corrections needed) of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker, narrated by Scott O'Neill of Seattle.

This will be my first book to have an audio version.

Congrats, Druxy!

Since people have inquired how I was early this week. It turns out I have a viral infection in the throat, sinuses and chest. Ain't that fun. The meds I hope will clear it up fast

Opening night of Dear Edwina Jr was great.  The audience loved it.  Heck, I even loved most of it.  Now I'm off to camp for the last official day.

Congrats, Matthew!

Is it just me, but these days whenever I see AC I think Anderson Cooper.

Oh puh-leeze!  Do you really think if elmore had Anderson Cooper blowing on him, he would be complaining?

TOD

CD player Turntable - CAROUSEL - studio recording with Alfred Drake and Roberta Peters - which I haven't played yet but it's on the turntable waiting for me.

DVD - EXPERIMENT IN TERROR, which I got halfway through last night before my eyes started closing, but I was loving it.  To be completed this evening.

Are you sure that EXPERIMENT IN TERROR is not the subtitle of your other recording?

The buzz and talk everywhere I go today is of the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

I wonder why that would be?

TOD:

DVD:
Red Lights – Terrific 2004 French thriller from a George Simenon novel starring Jean-Pierre Darroussin and the ever-lovely Carole Bouquet ; the plot of which constantly veers off into unexpected directions. It contains a sudden shock scene which made me physically jump!

Much more satifying that those mental jumps.

It looks like any AirConditioner I need will be around 10,000-11,000 BTU, which could be as high as $500. If I wait for the landlord, it could be years.
