I just read the FOLLIES liner notes.  (Didn't do so last night -- all I wanted to do then was listen.)  Wonderful stuff.

That BK chap sure does know how to write, and make excellent points excellently, doesn't he?

Also very much enjoyed DR FJL's mini-celebrity.

Sorry, Matthew. I was getting your production of Legally Blonde mixed up with the column Peter Filichia wrote last week on "Legally Blonde, Jr."

Legally Blonde Jr,  not sure if I can wrap my brain around that this morning.

My mail doesn't come until 4pm or later so I won't know if Follies has arrived until after I get home from work.

So, I listened to Follies.  I loved the way it sounded, loved that I heard percussion and piano better than I had in the past.  But I must admit, I never heard the original LP, just the CD which I got sometime in the 90's, so I can't revel in how "different" it sounds.  It's a brilliant score.

Very saddened by THIS, but not surprised at all.  I'm glad the website will still be available.

Darn!  It'll be gone before we get to London in January...

Had a good time at water aerobics today and now I'm home enjoying a bite of lunch before heading over to the campus for a Middfest meeting.

My yahoo email is apparently off-line. I wonder if it's operated out of India. That's got to be scary with 600 people without power.

Is it asking you to accept the new terms prior to accessing your email?

Yes, but there seems to be a glitch in accepting those terms as when you accept them, it asks you again.  And again, and again.....

I was able to send myself a message, and receive it, from yahoo.  My original test still hasn't arrived and I sent it twice.  I think there are still some kinks in this.  Maybe it will be working by the time I return home from the Y.

Was this the movie you were talking about the other day, Mike?

Quote from Max Preeo:

Not sure what the justification is for?Fox's 1960 HIGH TIME, a "forced comedy" (Maltin) with Bing Crosby, Tuesday Weld, Fabian, and Richard Beymer among the participants.? The disc has an "isolated score track" for Henry Mancini's music, and there are some Jimmy Van Heusen/Sammy Cahn songs, including the hit "The Second Time Around."? Pre-order at:
