I have had very little opportunity to watch the Olympics, but last night I did catch up (via On-Demand) with the men's finals in gymnastics. Oh, but it got me quite emotional when those poor guys messed up so bad. I could tell they were close to tears...and so was I.

But when someone does really well, I just get so happy! It was like being manic-depressive or something.

I feel it is my duty to report that I have had the best Turkey and Avocado sandwich from Subway that I have ever eaten.

That's quite a recommendation, TCB.  How many have you had?

Having seen so many commercials for them, I've been wondering how their avocado sandwiches are.  Not that I get to Subway very often.  In fact, I rarely do, a habit from the many years before they expanded from their old original menu items which I used to find pretty boring, or at least no better than average when compared with other subs or hoagies or grinders or [insert your regional name for them here].

I forgot my script at the theatre last night....I have NEVER done that in my life......so no working on lines for me.

A couple of times, I've left various scripts at work.  I hate it when that happens...especially when I need it for the actual rehearsal. :P

Since END OF THE RAINBOW is so popular here:

Did I ever post the special lyric "Tracie Bennett" had for Judy Garland's 90th birthday?

THE TRACIE SONG
tune of THE TROLLEY SONG

(verse)
With a London triumph, an iconic role
And reviews my mother couldn’t write
It’s such a thing of beauty,
The praise I won as Judy
I kicked butt, to be polite

Ching ka-ching went producers
Ring, ring, ring went the phone
Yes, yes, yes went  investors
Even though I was kind of unknown

Buzz, buzz, buzz went the columns
Hype, hype, hype went the net
Type, type, type went the lawyers
The investment felt like a sure bet

Here in New York, the praises spread
But all the same we started out of town instead
We took it slow, our goal was clear
We all were hoping that the critics soon would cheer

Whoo, whoo, whoo went the papers
Up, up, up went my star
Stop, stop, stop went the presses
As the buzz starts to grow the whole town comes to know
That I’m grand
And exactly as planned
All the phone lines are manned
As we stand
With a hand
For the brand
For our show!
Here on Judy’s nine-oh!

That's great, Fred! :D

Thanks, everyone!  Video was done at last week's rehearsal, so there have been some improvements since then, and the actors were not in show hair and makeup for the most part.

DR TCB - he is making up for not using his own blocking by giving everybody line readings.

BK, such a nice write up of THE ARTIST. Like any movie, some liked it and some didn't, but some seemed to want to dislike it because everyone else did like it. I have never understood that type of attitude.

I never like or dislike based on whether something is popular or not.

No, only whether anyone has ever heard of it before; and if so, was it within the last 50 years.

For this particular production - you are lucky I have not put SPOTLIGHTS on the exit signs.

Mikey, yesterday afternoon they did a segment on water polo and its coverage over the years,  Apparently back in the 50s, the Soviet team took on a team from one of the countries they had recently invaded.  it was apparently one of the bloodiest and most violent matches ever covered in the Olympics.

They did say that those skimpy little bathing suits are often either used for a wedgie, or are completely torn off by the opposing team.  Hmmm!

Just learned that my book is now on sale at the San Antonio Costcos. Haven't seen it on the shelf anywhere, but that sounds so cool.
