Good morning, all! I slept rather well, but the fans do more than keep a level of cool air circulating over a heavier layer that settles on your skin and burns from its heat. I do detest this weather, and the elevator being dwn for a minimum of three days really irks me. There are at least two older men in tis building who are unwell, if not infirm, and they really shouldn't be walking 2-5 flights of stairs in this heat. I do feel sorry for those on the upper floors.
I will leave very shortly for Toyland. If I'm going to endure the heat, I'd rather do it in a building where the AC is really cold. I've got a few more volumes of bound music to put away, and then I may actually work on ROBERTA for a while. I think Mr Skip Kennon is coming down to organizemore of the McGlinn library. It will be nice to have company. Hopefully, our cleaning man Arnold has removed all of the garbage that was accumulating.
DR JohnG, I've never understood Kathryn Gayson's stardom; someone thought she had talent as a soprano but I find her the epitome of the Anna Russell comment of "resonance where your brain ought to be." She's particularly dreadful as Magnolia. If there were an Oscar for Most Putrid Performance, she'd have a shelf full of them.
