Some Like It Hot

With that exception, I think I'm more a fan of Marilyn than of her movies. Favorite number: Heat Wave, again for her and not how bad the staging is.

Saturday morning greetings!  I'm supposed to be at Sharonville Convention Center at a Stampaway XX, but I had 2 nosebleeds last night (#%&@ meds!).  Even though I did manage to sleep from 4-9:30, I'm not sure how smart it would be to take off alone to drive 20 miles and spend several hours navigating a crowded exhibit hall.

Really sorry to hear of the SEVEN YEAR ITCH color deficiencies.  I wonder if the colors are the same on the previous DVD that I have.

Indeed. Especially as it's the only one out of the batch which I'm interested in. Nevertheless I'll check it out for myself.

Saw a great production of Sweeney Todd last night at the Ray of Light theatre in SF.  Fantastic.  5 piece orchestra, strong UN-MIC-ED singers.  Very refreshing to hear the great score.

Today is a wedding of one of my best friends.  I wish her and her new husband good health and happiness in the years to come.  That's all I can do at this point.

Wait a second-- Vera-Ellen in "No Business"? ? ? ? ?  What happened to Mitzi Gaynor?  Was a different version of the movie released on blu ray?  Vera-Ellen?

Planning the music for a friend who's marrying someone we don't care for but trying to be subtle.

Is it  bad luck when the song for a couple's first dance is "Could I Leave You" - just wondering.

I'm up, I'm up.  Finally got ten hours of blessed sleep.  Weird dreams.  I'm a little groggy, but as soon as I'm functioning I'll go jog.

6:44 AM and I'm home with Bonnie.  I didn't have any trouble sleeping.  I parked Bonnie beside the tech's car so the bad window was facing his car.  I also stopped off at the dollar store and bought a plastic drop cloth so no rain go in the window.

I'm glad it all worked out without having to change your appointment.

I'm sorry you have gotten worse.  Does this happen due to the dependency on the contraption you wear?

I've always wondered if some of the tension between O'Conner and Dailey in THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS was because at the time it was being made.....O'Connor's wife was divorcing him to marry Dailey?

That would cause a bit of tension. ::)

And she seems to be liking her new home.

IT is VERY NICE to have her meet me at the door when I come home.

I ran my errands, including a stop at Costco to get some grapeseed oil and to see the book for sale. That was a thrill. The book, not the oil. Well, the oil is, too. Or will be when I make some crab and avocado cakes tonight.

On Saturday's our local post office is closed so Craig had to drive half an hour away to overnight paperwork to rent his new apartment.  Had they called him back yesterday morning he could have saved some time.  Had he not called them back they might not have kept the apartment for him after Monday. ::)
