I'm pooped!   After our Hist Pres comm meeting tonight I went out with a friend who is on the commission.   We ended up having comfort appetizers (potato skins and onion rings), a salad and a couple drinks.  It was nice

Today my friendly UPS man stopped by the office and told me he had a really heavy box for delivery to my house and asked me where I wanted him to put it since he knew I wouldn't be home.   I told him, then later when I ran home to see if my brand new exercise bike had arrived, he showed up.   He carried it into the basement for me (just inside the sliding glass doors). Since the box weighed 117 pounds, I was very glad to have it where I could just slide it into the room where it was going to end up

It took me a good 2 hours, but it is all put together and very solid.  By the time I got done I was really tired.  LOL

DR Ginny, thanks for the tip on the hotel.  I've found some really good prices at the Wellington if I book in the next two weeks.  I also found a good rate on air fare.  I'll have to go from Sunday to Wednesday, but that gives me Tuesday night to see Drood, so it will work.  It's still not cheap, but it's a ton better than I thought it would be.

I booked the Wellington.  The deal is 30% off if you book a Sunday and stay 3 nights.   That works for me.  I don't need to be there on a weekend anyway.  Guess I may as well book the airfare and make it official.  Since it will be winter, I want to fly in and out of Sioux City.  That means I'll have to make another trip to use the Southwest ticket I have.
