Good Morning To All

The infection I've been fighting after more than weeks is almost gone. I hope by the weekend it will be gone

Great news, Mike (you will always be Michael to me).

Good morning, all! I slept well until around 4:00am, at which point I had a flight-recording-travel panic attack and was wide awake for about 45 minutes before I went back to sleep.

So, my schedule for today has gone haywire. While I know that the AC men are not shwing up, I do not know if the elevator repair men are showing up. I have to deal with a problem with my wonderful super, who is taking this elevator situation personally. If the maintenance crew doesn't come in, I don't blame him, but he's taking my anger over the situation all very personally and that's bullshit.

Hopefully, the check from the Man From Philadelphia will arrive in today's mail so I can deposit it, pay the bills, and have travel money. At 5:30, i meet the producer of the Appalachian Christmas show for coffee andto learn the plan of attackfor the fall.

Check vibes, bill paying vibes, and travel-money vibes for DR elmore!

We used fans last night but we slept without the AC (that's Air Conditioning, not Anderson Cooper).

They are talking rain today.

We shall see.

You probably wouldn't have slept if the AC had been Anderson Cooper.

You naughty man! Go return your laptop  ;)

Taking my OTHER sister to Goodwill today to look around.

Be careful, they don't take all donations anymore.

Don't get me started on my laptop notebook.  HP has fallen from my list of preferred computer makers.  They want me to send the damn notebook to them (at my expense) and they promise to fix it and send it back (at no charge) in about ten days.  How I, in my wheelchair and not able to drive, am going to get the damn thing to Fed Ex is beyond me.

Today I get to go see my regular doctor.  He has not seen me since the dramatic weight loss.  He is always telling me to go on a diet, so I will blame him for it.

DR TCB, call Fed Ex. If you are paying for the shipment with a credit card, they should come and pick it up from you.

Has anyone ever heard of the Jager iOsonic Toothbrush Kit?  Amazon wants me to buy one with their Groupon-style sale for $74.00, instead of $229.00.  I have never heard of the brand.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I slept 'til after 9am, so I'm a little groggy.  Have an early afternoon appointment at the senior center to learn to use their computer system in my volunteer work as grants researcher and writer.

Okay, I guess I will try that.  First, I have to find someway to get down behind my desk, unplug the monitor from the computer, and try plugging it into my notebook comptuer to see if that works.

So, Ginny, retirement for you means volunteering to do what you used to get paid to do?

I walked the three flights to the street - so I could then use the service entrance to the basement - with all of the portable garbage and recyclables I could carry. As I got to the front door, I ran into an elevator service man! This bodes good.

Something like that, DR TCB!  Actually, I'm volunteering to do what I used to get paid to teach others to do

DR Elmore, hope your elevator issue is fixed, pronto. In my apartment building we have two elevators, so if one goes out there is always a spare. Of course it doesn't take more then a day for the repair men to come...not as many elevators in Salem as in NYC.
