Watching the movie of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy." Great, great cast of actors, but the condensation of the book is just too great. It needs the leisurely pace of the TV version, which had its own set of great British actors. But, I still don't get much of a sense of urgency or suspense or the thrill of a thriller from either.

we spent the day with Vixdad's sister and her husband - they took us to a dinosaur dig and then to Mr Mikes for a lovely meal and then to marble slab ice cream for dessert

The town car we hired to drive us to the airport was ina fender bender so we were collected by a uniformed drivere ina very posh and fancy stretch limo

we arrived to the airport in very good time - (4;15 AM) to find that the line to CanadaAir was snaking out the door - the same storm system that had caused a tornado on the Island of Long on Friday had also caused all sorts of flight disruptions and a bunch of people had spent eh night at the aiprport instead of fling where they were supposed to

and out 6:30 flight had been cancelled and replaced witha 7:49 flight

we waited TWO hours in line to get to the "luggage drop" and the nice man at the counter had to rearrange all our flights so instead of arriving at 3;30 PM in Grande Praiire we would n ot be arriving until 8:30 (10:30 EST) - none of us had slept as the car came for us at 3 AM so all of us had been up since 6 AM on Friday morning ....

all the security checks went well - although I was wearing a long skirt and the lady at LaGuardia did feel my legs and the Vixter was asked to go in the scanning machine by the lady in Toronto but we got through fairly quickly and painlessly

We napped from NYC to Toronto but stayed awake in first class it was way too nice to sleep through

I have not caught up and probably will not catch up but having read FJL's comments earlier about the economy I must say I agree and that is why I am still working where I am and working the crazy hours for the limited pay -

I also loved hot Krispy Kreme glazed donuts

alas Krispy Kreme (for reasons unknown to the likes of me) had a very short lifespan on Long Island

I'm surprised, with your hearing loss, their are any agencies to help you with your job search. Have you looked into any seminar's that help people find jobs & that practice interviewing?

I have tried in a few places but when ND Voc Rehab found it I was read the riot act for doing so. I know it could lead to something but they believe I will not look for work. Again, there are some in ND that are a tad backwards
