I think I have finally parsed through and can summarize the mentality of the internet age

I get how it's done now.  It makes a lot click into place, about how people like the owners of theater chat sites have managed to paint the people who complain about the anonymous venom towards artists on their theater-chat sites as the villains who are trying to silence free speech, as opposed to the people who anonymously mistreat the artists being the villains.

Glad it finally clicked in  ;)

It's probably the main reason why I refuse to even look at, let alone post at various sites around the Web. If you don't like something but I do, I'm an idiot and if I don't like something and you do how dare you post anything bad about what I like, which, again, makes me an idiot. It's a losing game and a vicious circle and I'm better off not getting involved.

re: yesterday's soft drink discussion.

I don't drink much soda anymore. But my favorites are diet root beer and diet cream soda.  I don't love non-diet. Although sometimes at Costco (a few times a year) I will have their regular root beer (since they don't have any diet drinks i like).  I have never heard of Coke being interchangeable for any cola. And agree with DR Jane if you ask for Coke and they have Pepsi they will let you know.

You mean you knew all along?

And I had to find out for myself?

Can I go back to Kansas now?  :)

Thursday morning greetings!  I'm home all day today to get ready for my book group's arrival at 6pm for our potluck dinner and viewing of Sarah's Key.  Wonder what we're having for dinner besides sliced ham & turkey and baked beans?

TOD - Not much fried food on my diet anymore, but when we're near the east coast I almost always have fried clams.  And when we go to Montgomery Inn for ribs, I have to have Saratoga chips.

Thanks for the recommendation, DRs Ben and Doug R!  I'll add it to my England file for January.  There's even a store in Norwich, where we will be for a whole week.

And after the show, I met up with DR Matthew! It turned out he was rehearsing in the same building, so... After his rehearsal and my show, we headed out to grab a beer and to talk. And, yes, it was a very "exciting meeting"! :)

Yes, it was!!  A mini HHW meet up, and FINALLY face to face with DR Jose.  We had a lovely time.

DR ChasSmith, I'm secretly hoping our son Rob chooses to have us take him there to celebrate his birthday in a few weeks!

TOD - I LOVE French Fries, probably my biggest vice ever.  However, a nice apple fritter is a close second.

Tonight after rehearsal, I'm off to Walt Disney World.  It seems a little surreal at the moment, as I'm going alone and meeting people there.  I guess it hasn't hit me.

Too late.  I read it, and I am agog, aghast and agape.   Well, not so much aghast as I am agape.  But totally agog!

Ron P - Ah well.  :)

Appropriate that it be a Breakfast Club parody, about high school kids in detention, huh?

Good Morning, DR Matthew. -And, yes, it was a great pleasure finally meeting you in person last night. Have a good day, a good rehearsal, a good flight, and a great time at Walt Disney World. Enjoy the surrealness of it all. *And if you don't want to wait in line to see "Finding Nemo", just text me. ;)
