Facebook.  No one can wait even ten seconds to post their political stuff - likes, hates, whatever.  Such a bore.  And people post and think others are actually seeing?  I mean, more than three people?  People spend twenty-four hours a day there - one well known behind the scenes person who changes his profile picture every three minutes.  He posts endless photos of himself with either notables or young pretty women (he is neither young, nor pretty).  He even got himself a date by posting that he needed a date for some event or show and that the person responding had to be beautiful and have other attributes.  And it worked.  And it gets worse from there.

Good Evening!

So... My friend, Yosh, wanted to check out David Burke Kitchen since our friend - and "Top Chef: Desserts" alumnus - Zac Young is now the pastry chef there. Well...

Our appetizers and entree(s) were great: "Ants On A Log" (Roasted Bone Marrow with Escargots), and their Roast Chicken Two Ways for Two Days* (a beautiful roast chicken, carved tableside, served with a goat cheese and caramelized onion quiche and a frisee-bacon salad; *and as you leave, they deliver you a to-go box filled with chicken salad sliders made from the "leftovers"). Oh, and the Beef-Fat Fries with Pickled Jalapenos. Oh, and the bread basket came with Everything Bagel Popovers(!).

But then came dessert... Well, dessertssss...

We told Zac just to surprise us, so... And he did. Big time!

-"Fruits & Vegetables" - Watermelon, Honeydew Melon, Cantaloupe & Raspberries topped with a scoop of Cucumber/Honeydew Sorbet sprinkled with Zucchini Bread Croutons, served in a small mason jar.
-"PB&J Two Ways" - Frozen Peanut Butter Mousse with Warm Raspberry Compote; Deep-Fried Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches.
-"Farmer Zac's Special" (or something like that?) - Creme Fraiche Ice Cream, Passion Fruit Sorbet, Disco-Dusted Blueberries, Chocolate Cookies Crumbs in a Chocolate Cup
-"Fried Eggs" - A White Chocolate Crunch "white", with a Pāte des Fruits "yolk", served on a mini-cast iron stove.

Hmmmm...

i think I need a nap.

Laters...

I had to look at this twice to clarify that what you said you needed was a nap instead of a "slap".

Well... The difference is is that I never pay for a nap.

I just had a big ol' spider just drop down on my keyboard, just like that.  I gently swept it off the keyboard and promptly smashed it to bits with my phone.

Listening to some sublime music from an upcoming Kritzerland release.  I'm pretty certain that this will have been one of our best years in terms of interesting releases.
