DR TCB you always find great cards.

Thanks.  I panicked this morning because I couldn't rememeber where I had saved DR Laura's card.

Do you save the link when you find them?

No, I usually save them to one of my photo albums in Photobucket, but I am getting far too many pages.

I'm so pathetic that is beyond me.

:)  I enjoyed all of your wonderful photos.  The falls are beautiful and it was a treat to see the "Making of Monkey Magic" photos.

Jane, you should really see the Falls in March or April when it gets the snow runoff.  It is an amazing sight to behold.

They would be impressive, but it seems like the runoff is usually at its peak in April.

Yesterday was a delight.  It was great to finallly meet DR Jose, and to realize that he is just as nice and as charming as reported.  Snoqualmie Casino is one of my favorite places, partly because they bring bus loads of old people; so I always feel so youthful.  We had a nice lunch, we chatted, ears were burned, we laughed and laughed, and fun was had by all.

Thank you, Jose, for making time to visit with George and me during your whirlwind vacation.

Ditto!!  And thank YOU, Tom, for treating us to lunch and for the use of your car.  It was an easy drive. :D

My pleasure.

For this time of year, you really need to bring your slicker.  Even at the visitors lookout, you can get very wet.

A Laptop Question!

When charging your laptop, is it better to wait until the battery runs down, or is it olay to just charge it whenever you are near the charger?

Either, or.

It is good to periodically "cycle" your battery: drain your battery till it's totally non-charged or very close to it, and then fully recharge it. That can help to recalibrate it. However, charging it whenever and wherever should, theoretically, do no harm. The only thing to watch out for is if you happen to be dealing with an electrical line that is subject to regular dips and surges. In that case, it's best to unplug it if you happen to be leaving your computer untouched for more than a day or so.

Friday afternoon greetings!  Sorry if I've seemed to be sitting here like so much fish for the past 24 hours.  Our wireless went wonky and wouldn't allow any internet activity, so I couldn't log out before book group last night.

Richard and I had appointments with our primary care physician this morning for some routine prescription stuff and our flu shots.  The post-heart attack honeymoon is over and he's back to nagging me about my weight (which, ahem, is 20 or so pounds less than 2 years ago...).  My cardiologist told me in 2010 me to cut out fats and salt and now our PCP is telling me to cut back on carbs.

Of course it has dips.  I live here.

That remionds me.  When I saw my doctor a few weeks ago, he noticed that we hadn't done my annual blood and urine tests for two years.  So, Tuesday I had it all done and results came back that everything was okay except for the triglycerides.  I don't think my doctor has much to bitch about.

Great card from Aunt Mae. Guess she had to use the Harper to distinguish her from the four other Aunt Maes in the family.

I wonder how many restaurants we can eat at in one day?

I am trying to decide between Lebanese, Ethiopian, Chinese, and Irish. And Then we have the dessert places.

Wear your stretchy pants, Jose!

That's great though you do need to get the triglycerides down.  I have to watch mine as well.

TOD:

CD: A mix tape of Hindi, Tamil, Pakistani, and Arabic pop music.

DVD:
Something starring my soon to be new favorite Punjabi actor, Tarun Khanna.

As you can see, he is another great talent.
