I do not think they do flu shots here till around Dec. Hopefully I will be able to get a free one this year.

The event is being held on October 26-28 at the Burbank Marriott Hotel Convention Center, which is just across the street from the Burbank Airport.

If you live in the Los Angeles area and have time and are in the neighborhood, please stop by and say "Hello,".

Holy MOOley -- I'll be right there in the hotel.  I'm leaving first thing Saturday the 27th and I think Friday night is booked, but surely the "Hello" can be made to happen somehow.

I've had that happen with both doctor and vet recently.  Make a little noise and they'll find a way to accommodate you.

By jiminy you're right - I had another topic in there and then pulled it at the last minute.

Gosh!  I was hoping you were telling us it was a subtle klew to an upcoming Kritzerland release.

I don't know if it's TNT or Time Warner but the picture is pixilating and freezing like mad. The channel is completely unwatchable tonight.

Hmm, a month from now or tomorrow morning. I think you'll take tomorrow. I love how the appointment magically appeared.

My sister told me that my niece was supposed to have her yearly check up next week (scheduled months in advance). And the doctor called to cancel and said she would reschedule for 3 months later??

Forgot to post this yesterday, but I went to visit the doctor for the first since surgery in February. No trace of cancer. I'm very happy at that news, as you can imagine.

I had a flu shot last week and had no reaction. In fact, I didn't even feel it.

Did you have one of those smaller needles? I've seen advertising and promotion for them since the Flu Shot season is upon us.

I didn't look. I never do.

;D

I wouldn't know.  It didn't hurt as much after the shot than it normally does.  I was startled during the shot as it felt like he wiggled it.

This morning I gave a talk to some seniors who were on a field trip from their senior center. They didn't know why they were at a church until I began talking about our butterfly garden. Most of them were interested and asked lots of questions about the plants and caterpillars and the many butterflies flitting around. There was one lady who clearly thought all bugs should be killed. I guess that's what happens when your outing is a surprise.

Odd they didn't know why.  They seemed alert enough.

And I am home from the library. I just called to make an appointment to see my doctor for this malaise I am suffering, and her first free appointment is 16 days from now! This strikes me as completely ridiculous,  and I wasquite vocal about it. So the receptonist said she would contact the doctor and see what can be done. We'll see how this goes down.

Good luck getting an earlier appointment.  I hope you are still reaction free from the shot.

Being healthy did not make her visit urgent.

Otherwise...

It was another good day of rehearsal, our second. Our "Higgins", Benedict Campbell, joined us today - he's still finishing up his obligations up at The Shaw Festival over the next week and a half. -And it turns out that Benedict's father, Douglas, was a protégé of Sir Tyrone Guthtrie, and was an Artistic Director of The Guthrie Theater.

It has been a busy day & I still have things to do.

This morning my hiking group went to Mt. Ashland on Echo & Sherlock's trail.   I let them get ahead of me and sat on their rock.  Since it was my first time up after leaving Sherlock there I had a bit of a cry. That's ok and expected.  It will get better with time & it felt so very good to sit on the rock & imagine them playing together in the fields below me.
