Watched "Nunset Boulevard." Why? Can't figure out any reason for it to exist and even less why I watched the whole thing. The first one was charming fun. This was cheerless.

I'm home from my long weekend away.  The Frankenguest is gone, good riddance, he was a hot mess.  And tomorrow is another day and another week.

And that's all I have.

MBarnum, don't know if you saw this:

Thanks DR JohnG, several Facebook friends in India were talking about this today. He was certainly one of the biggest Bollywood producers of the last 40 years.

I think either my DVR remote is dying or my DVR machine is dying. When I press a button on the remote there is quite a delay before anything happens on the machine end of things. And sometimes when I press a button, nothing at all happens. Tried new batteries in the remote, but that did not help.

Just in case it is the machine that is going wonky, I am gonna try to get everything that is saved on it burnt to DVDr this week. I have several movies and TV shows I have been meaning to transfer to DVDr, but just hadn't gotten around to.

Burnt James Garner's UP PERISCOPE, earlier. Now, I am burning William Holden's (and James Garner's) TOWARD THE UNKNOWN.

The problem with occasionally looking up people you used to know is that sometimes you find out they have passed away.  Such is the case with comedian Holly Henson, who I knew very well in the late 1980s, when she was just starting out.  I've thought about her over the years, and I think I'd looked her up a few years ago to see she was still at it.  When I Googled her I found her website so I didn't even bother looking at the rest of the hits I just went directly to it.  Then I accidentally went off the page and had to go back to Google and that's when I saw the second entry, that she's died.  She was living in Minnesota with her husband.  Very nice gal.  When I was doing Totally Hidden Video back then, she was always scrounging for gigs and dough, and I told her I would occasionally have someone up to give a massage, and she said she'd do it cheaper, so I gave her the money and once a week she'd come to Santa Monica and give me a massage.
