Gosh I forgot it was Guy Fawkes Day - Vixdad usually mentions it - he must have forgotten to  remember the Fifth of November!

Would love to stay and chat, but I need to get some sleep.  I didn't get my brief written tonight. It's not due until Wednesday, so I'll probably do it while I watch election returns tomorrow night

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
the Gunpowder Treason and Plot,

I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, t’was his intent to blow up King and Parliament.

Three score barrels were laid below to prove old England’s overthrow;
By God’s mercy he was catch’d with a dark lantern and lighted match.

Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

Hip hip hoorah!

It's after midnight...which means Happy Election Day (even though it's not the new HHW day)!

At work tomorrow, we're going to have a potato potluck.  We've been doing it every presidential election (and even some non-presidential elections), ever since then-vice-president Dan Quayle incorrectly "corrected" a kid's spelling of "potato" and said that it was "potatoe."

And now, I'm off to bed.  I'm still not quite adjusted to non-Daylight Saving Time.

Good night, all.
