Well, the wind calmed to a dead calm so I decided to start doing the plastic on the windows.  I got the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room done.  They are the north side main floor windows so I'm really glad I got them done.  I also climbed up on the roof of the garage and got the eaves I could reach cleaned out. Whew!   Then the best part of such a day...the shower!   As I was finishing up and putting things away the clouds started rolling in.  80% chance of rain and thunderstorms.

Just in time!!  I'm always amazed at what you do.  DR Danise seems to be handy around the house as well, just not enough to build a new one ;)

Cheese.  Hmmm.  I love the cheese from Pasture Pride Cheese factory in Cashton, WI  http://www.pasturepridecheese.com/index.asp

I still have a big chunk of muenster from the last trip- Edith told me it's the same cheese used in quesadillas in Mexico.
I love it in grilled cheese sandwiches.

I like lots of cheese but right now this is my favorite

Back from lunch and a response - resolution has been reached and it's at least a step in the right direction and after the first of the year we'll have a new beginning, or so I'm told.  That's fine.

Greetings from the west side of Lima, OH!  We just had dinner with the Bishop and his wife and the family of the baby who will be baptized tomorrow.  The guest of honor slept through the entire meal.

There were some other nice pictures in the DePauw paper that I will scan for HHW this week.

Here is our final curtain call pose.....I am third from the left,  standing beside my wife....a freshman girl who is the worst actress in the play, if not the world.

Nice photo.  Sorry about the wife.

just declare her a  witch and get yerself a new one!

That's great.  Are the health issues mentioned also improving?

Today is supposed to be warm but the cold is coming sometime later today with thunderstorms etc.  So this morning I got an early start on my yard work.  Got the front by the road raked and put out a lot of grass seed.  The drought killed a lot of the yard, but this part died before the drought got really bad.  Then I hauled in three bags of softener salt (40# each) and raked out the leaves in the storm sewer drains in the street.  Now I'm resting.  I wanted to put up plastic in the windows today, but it's already a bit windy and that makes it a pain in the butt, so I'll just clean out the eaves on the garage and call the outside work done.

you know we have some roof shingles what need replacing , a fence to repair and siding to put back on , wanna stop by next weekend?  The keys'll be in the mailbox

Hi all!  I'm sorry I missed the celebration.  I was on the phone with Thelma for a bit because we haven't been in contact for awhile.

The house is still having it's problems.  They were going to come and pour the concrete for the laundry room then that got canceled because of the septic.  They somehow thought I was connected to city sewage but I have a septic hole.

Anyway things have been up and down with work and all.  Well things are about to change.  Hopefully for the better but I can't post about it until after Tuesday when I'm sure.   So stay tuned for the (hopefully) happy news!

~~~~~~Good news vibes for DR Danise!~~~~~
I now have frozen, individually shaped, oatmeal cookie dough all ready to pop in the oven and bake on Tuesday.
Earlier why I was mixing the batter I said to Keith that sometimes I wish it was my left shoulder that broke & not my right.  There are just somethings I have to do with my right arm, such as mixing cookie batter.
I am pleased to say I managed to do it without Keith's help.
Too many good things came in from the library all at once. Got the first season of "Homeland" as well as the original "Cat People" and a vampire flick that's supposed to be really scary, "Let the Right One In."
Is that the Swedish film I have heard so much about?
I am working today...oh well.  There is NO performance of the THE RED SHOES.....I mean....THE CRUCIBLE tonight, because today is the day of the BIG football game between DePauw and Wabash - which is a fierce longstanding rivalry....although most of the cast is not optimistic about a win for DePauw.
Last night we had ANOTHER sell out crowd.....158 people.....they had to send out for more chairs.  The cast of THE CRUCIBLE from the local high school - they did the play last fall - was there....and they joined us onstage for a talkback.  Of course most of them knew more about theatre and acting and the play than we did - or at least they wanted us to think they did - and a lot of their parents were in the audience, so they got a lot of questions.  It was an interesting and entertaining ten minutes....unfortunately, it last 40 minutes.
I did get a couple of questions, and expressed my opinion a couple of times....another talk back next Friday if anyone wants to come.
Congrats on the sell-out and continued broken leg vibes!
I think so. But it may have to wait a day or three until I get through "Homeland." New addiction.
