Fortunately, no.  I went to work for a few hours and then went to my parents' house and played some Scrabble.  I lost...as usual.

TOD:

I love cheese... I like American, Provolone or Swiss for sandwiches and melts. I love chedder, Pepper jack, Muenster, Gouda, and Colby for snacking on. I have a fondness of putting shredded cheddar, colby Jack or mozzerella on many things.

I love brie on toast...

TOD

Cheese.  Oy!  Where to begin?

First of all, right now I'm temporarily off all dairy because I'm on a standard 30-day course of Doxycycline thanks to a very friendly DEER TICK.  Yes, my fellow DRs, after all of these years living around the deer, I finally attracted one of their lovely friends, and I'm on the antibiotic to pretty much ensure I never have a problem with Lyme -- the prognosis of which is as close to 100% as it gets, since we caught it and started the Doxy within 24 hours of the bite.  And I've felt fine throughout, no symptoms at all.

This happened the morning after "Sandy".  One of the many things I'm still behind in posting about with the disruptions of the past two weeks.

But I digress...

Good morning, all! I got home late and slept in this morning. Around 9 or so this morning, I decided I was coing down with a cold and decided to sleep longer. I hope I am not, bumy freind Fionnuala is definitely sick; she told me her cold came on as soon as the Wexford Opera season, where she's concert mistress, ended last week.

So, I'm about two hours behind my proposed schedule this morning. My day s open until 5pm today, when I meet Jonathan for dinner and see his show at Lincoln Center, so I think I'll do the laundry that I had meant to do two hours ago.

Last night, Finnoula, Lynda, their friend Ger, and I had dinner at the apartment of Molly on East 97th Street. Molly is an Irish retired friend of Fionnuala wh worked for Elizabeth Arden. She prepared a very simple but wonderful dinner of zucchini, roast pork, boiled potatoes, and a nut cake with fresh fruit. It wasavery Irish evening, and I had a really good time.

More coffee and then it's time for the laundry!

DR George enjoy FIREFLY.  I can't remember if you watched the show when it was on tv.

No, I didn't.  This is the first time that I'm watching any of it, even though I actually bought the TV series AND the movie on DVD, when they first came out...and now I got them on Blu-ray. ::)

But the Blu-rays were very inexpensive. :)
