I didn't know you could hide posts from people on Facebook.  I can think of a few thousand political posts I would have liked to have hidden from me!

You could have hidden the biggest offender's until after the election.  I don't know how to hide a post from someone but I do know other's who have hidden a person while talking about a surprise for the them.  Every other fb friend knew what was going on except the one person who was hidden. :)

Bruce every time you mention Jerry's I cringe.  I hope the one you go to is better than the horrid one in Westwood.  I can't imagine the bread is any better.

There was a Jerry's Deli in Westwood?  Don't recall that, but could have been before my time.  Where was it?

Oh wait, there's a whole bunch of them.  Didn't know that.  They're all over the damn place.  It's on Weyburn Ave. in Westwood.  I guess these are all "after" my time.

I'd only been to the one on Ventura Blvd. a few times back in the '80s.

Ack!  It's in the Hamburger Hamlet's spot next to the Bruin!  Or in that block, anyway.

After your time.  It is where the Hamburger Hamlet used to be.  It was ok at first & kept getting worst.  The last time I was there I only stopped in for a loaf of Challah & a loaf of rye to bring home.  They were so bad I threw them out.

It seems to be a feast at the library after a long famine.  Another book became available for me to check out.  I think I will wait until tomorrow to do so.

Good afternoon. I'm afraid I'm in a situation which requires and strong well worded email to my pastor about one of our paid cantors.  The issue started this morning in which I did ask the pastor to excuse him from the early Mass we were suppose to do together.  He ended up talking to him, but there is so much more at this point.  I'm going to ask that he be encouraged to move on.  He's been there for 20+ years and I think it's time to move on.  One of the things he said to me this morning was "I cant trust you anymore" - which is unacceptable coming from someone who the people around him bend over backward for him.  I'm just about done.

I had some onion soup for lunch which i had frozen. I think that was the first time I had frozen onion soup. It took quite a while to defrost. But it actually tasted pretty good.

I had to read this a couple of times-  at first I thought you ate the soup while it was still frozen!!

:)

No i defrosted it. First overnight in the fridge (which did little good). And then in a pan on the stove. It took a while for it to get hot.,

I am waiting for my library to get a lot of new books. IT seems they are slow (not getting them right away). Although I have to go tomorrow to pick up two books that came out in October. There are another two books I really want (one came out in Oct and one Nov). Hopefully soon.

I am home now from a long day out and about. At 3, I met Lynda and Fionnuala for dinner before their flight. They are off to Dublin, and I am in for the evening.

First, muscle relaxer for my shoulder and then the heating pad.

I have found something that frozen needs to be left out all night, the frig takes a couple of days.

DR Jane, I did not expect it to defrost itself overnight. But i thought it would at least do a little bit. At least it came out of the container easily. Sometimes that part can be tricky.

I've been just as surprised the day after leaving something in the frig.  At least you wanted it heated & not room temperature to eat. ;)

Click on the word "Rian" in the column on the left, and then near the bottom, there's a video link.
