Monday morning greetings!  Today I have to get my license plate situation resolved and then do some Thanksgiving grocery shopping.  I'm not doing much of the cooking - just the turkey & stuffing - but there's still a lot to do.

My mom called me this morning (fortunately, I was awake) and asked if I would make a cheesecake for Thanksgiving.  I haven't made one in years, but we'll see what happens. :D

Also, you can "subscribe" just as on You Tube.  At the top of any of our pages (announcements or video) is a button that says Subscribe to this author.  Just click that and enter your e-mail address and you'll get instant e-mail notifications anytime a new release or video is posted.  Do it, do it now.

Did it!

Well, let me put it this way - in the three hours since the announcement, the season two premiere episode has had more views than in a week on You Tube, so that's heartening.

Congrats, BK!  And congrats to everyone in and involved with the episodes who also made it a great success!!

Back from lunch and handing off the hard drive to the editor.  I had salmon, so very low calories.

I'm not going to check relentlessly, but after less than six hours, we've had over 2000 views of the Hal Linden episode, and the other episodes are all creeping up towards 1000 views, which is great considering they've been around for a year.

Ray Milland!

(Yes.  Seriously!)

I absolutely love his voice, at least his young voice.

I know it's not Wednesday, but I have a question for BK: Will Sandy's Christmas album be available on amazon? I wanted to write a review.

Mine needs at least two, with three or four being optimal.

Actually some friends brought a savory cheesecake to the party Saturday. It was green chile cheesecake on a blue corn crust. They were served in cupcake wrappers with a dollop of chile jam on top. Sweet-spicy and wonderful. I may have to make those soon.

A very nice young man at the GM dealer was able to remove my old rear license plate and install the new one.  From there I went to Kroger for the few things I need for Thanksgiving.  It was so crowded and it's only Monday - can't imagine what it will be like tomorrow and Wednesday.  Came home and put the groceries away and took Richard to the local public library - his first outing since his surgery last Friday.  Tomorrow we go to the podiatrist for his first post-op visit.

At lunch I caught the film of STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF.  What a train wreck, unable to make up its mind whether it wants to be a movie or filmed theatre and the lead, Tony Tanner, is far from charismatic Anthony Newley...not that Newley would've really helped.

As I recall, I devoted a chapter in my book on musicals to this film.  Interviewed Millicent Martin, who confirmed that the shoot was a mess.

RE: Voicss and actors.

I recall Jack Carter, who was a superb impressionist, complaining to me years ago that there were no new actors that you could do impressions of.  "How," he said, "do you do George Preppard?"

It's pretty much the same today, isn't it?

THE MOUSETRAP has just had its 25,000th performance after 60 years in London! I saw it around about 1965 but have never understood its long lasting appeal.

I agree...that would not go well at my family's get-together, at all. :-X
