I must say I'm surprised at the spelling of Stephen Findle's first name.  I thought it might be something like STEFFYNNE.

I am debating my Thanksgiving options: movie? dinner? movie and dinner? neither? either? I hate being alone on holidays.

I invited my friend Andy to have dinner with me, but he will be on Staten Island feeding the homeless.

And the word of the day is: TARTAR!

Is that Beef TARTAR, or Tuna TARTAR?

Hi all!  Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving as l I may not be able to post from my sister in laws house.

I'm waiting for the shuttle to pick me up as I type this.  I dropped the dogs off at the kennel this morning and cried all the way home.

This feels so strange.  I've never went anywhere for the holidays.  I know I overpacked but since I'm not sure about how cold it will be (50's don't sound to cold) I took some heavy things and some light along with my coat and boots that I bought for NY.

Be safe, be happy and have a wonder filled Holiday!

Danise, I hope you have the happiest and the most memorable Thanksgiving ever!

BK, I know it isn't Wednesday yet (except for Doug), but is there a way for us regular folk to see how many times the OUTSIDE THE BOX episodes have been watched?

No, the views thing is private on B'way world.  But in less than two days, the new episode is closing in on 6,000, so I'm very happy with that.

I am on a tear here.  I just went out to the garage and pulled about 100 more DVDs to go trade in at Amoeba, which means I've probably got two to three hundred now that are going away, and frankly I'm at the point where I just want to sell them all - I'm never going to watch two-thirds of them again so why have them?  The Blu and Ray closet is now, astonishingly, full and I have to just start thinning out.  I don't want all this crap anymore.  Worse is the CD closet and I'm thinking about that very strongly - I have a ton of limited edition CDs, extras, sealed in a box that keeps growing, plus I've probably now got two hundred CDs that are stacked on the floor of the closet, sealed, half of which I will never ever have time to listen to.  It's time for this stuff to go bye bye and I may have a big sale on the FSM board, but in order to do so, I have to have someone come here and type the list on the computer - it would be worth paying someone fifty bucks for the few hours it will take.

SO, today I realized that the idea of packing up Callie and going to mom and dad's when I have been so crazed and have SOOOO many things to do here.  So I called mom and said "Would you be upset if I stayed home for Thanksgiving"  she said "Heaven's no, I don't blame you a bit for wanting to stay there".   WHEW!!!!! I actually couldn't believe it.  Then we laughed because I invited them here and she didn't want to come and now here I was saying I didn't want to go there.

It felt like the weight of the world was off my shoulders.  I've been so stressed out lately that I need the time here to just clean house, do some writing for work and just hang with the cats.  I may see a movie or two....I have a party to go to Wednesday night and two separate wedding receptions if I want to, one for a friends' kids (I don't know them so probably won't go) and one for a client who we helped his bride come to the country legally to marry him.   I may go to that one.   Anyway, this year, unlike a few years ago, I am thrilled to be able to be home on thanksgiving

I was going to roast 1/2 a turkey (have the butcher slice it lengthwise and freeze the other half), but decided a Jenny O turkey roast was easier.  I did get a pint of oysters and will make a big batch of scalloped oysters.
