Is tomorrow your last day before vacation?

Yes, and it's been a long time comin'

We start volunteering on Friday but we will be done by December 11 so most of the month is mine/ours.

I've not heard of Plugra butter.  I use European style butter for baking & my personal use.  Keith uses regular butter, but then he uses more than I do.

I can't be sure but I think I used both butter & cream.  Is that possible?  It is one of the rare dishes I made that I never had a recipe for.

Woohoo I got accepted for Touch and Go by Lisa Gardner.
Congratulations!

I purchased CATCH ME and will read it after I finish my current book and read a library book.

I've been getting rejected a lot lately for some ebooks I really want. But I had a good feeling about this one since I was accepted for CATCH ME.

The more you review books will that increase your chances of receiving more to review?

I"m not sure. Each publisher has their own set of rules. Some don't even allow any bloggers (only librarians...).  I don't really think that my reviewing will change the minds of those publishers who only accept bloggers. But if I do get accepted for a certain publisher and they see my reviews then that might help them accept me next time I request from them.

I always want to fall asleep when I get in bed - and I'm tired when I do - there's just so much going on in my head and so I'm thinking instead of sleeping.

That's why I read until I fall asleep.  My problem is I tend to wake up again, often with in minutes or a couple of hours.

I tend to watch tv in bed. And i can tell when i'm feeling tired and need to stop.

I use this occasionally as a side dish.  We like it with salmon and with pork chops.  I don't use the butter called for in the directions, though, and I use 1% milk.

It will be interesting to know if you see a pattern as you continue to get free books.

Not really, DR Jane, which is why I don't use it nearly as often as I used to!

I'm enjoying the song, THIS CHRISTMAS, as well as the CD. I've always said that there just aren't enough Jewish Christmas songs.

;D  So true.
A Broadway Christmas is full of them, or at least Christmas songs written by Jewish people.

Went to the company Christmas employee appreciation party at Dave & Buster's tonight. I won one of the door prizes, so I figured that buying a PowerBall ticket would be a waste of money.

ChasSmith, Amazon Prime is incredible and more than pays for itself if you order from them a lot.  It's free two-day shipping on anything, and you usually get pre-orders on release day no matter what.  And add to that that you can watch any movie on their site for free - just well worth it.

I agree.  Amazon Prime is a great investment.  It paid for itself within the first couple of months.

Then I zoomed home, stopped at the mail place and picked up one lonely package, which contained the new Blu and Rays of Gypsy and Deathtrap, so I've got my viewing for the evening.

Interesting double feature.

I've been talking, in a private group, on Facebook with a friend who is beginning chemo tomorrow.
I hope her surgery really got it all cuz the odds the chemo will work are not very good.  Sigh.

Vibes for your friend, Jane!

I don't go to the movies very often. i don't really enjoy sitting in a seat for 2+ hours.

But yesterday I went to see Breaking Dawn part 2. And I was looking forward to seeing some of the previews. I did see one for a movie that looks funny with Billy Crystal and Bette Midler as the grandparents.

I also saw the one for Les Miserables. It's interesting that the preview is all in song.

Isn't the entire musical sung onstage?

Some days living in NYC is so neat: I got out of a taxi at 81st Street  & Broadway and held the door for Phyllis Newman and her nurse/companion to get in. It was nice to see her. She said she couldn't take my hand since she'd just done her nails. Jungle Red, I believe!

Do you know Miss Newman?

NY doesn't seem so large the way New Yorker's tend to run into people they know.

I almost always run into someone from Washington when I am in New York.  Or Las Vegas.
