AND I got word that our library board has offered the library director position to our internal candidate and just about everyone that I'd talked to really wanted her to get the job...including me!  Tomorrow will be a good day at work!

That's great so many people are happy about this.

Yes, this is true.  The publishers decide who they sell to and for how much.  It's ridiculous that certain publishers will also sell the downloadable audiobooks to libraries for $50, $80, or even $100...for a frakin' download!

How much do they sell the eBooks for?  Does the price go down with multiple purchases?

The prices can vary, but fortunately, the e-books aren't as expensive as that specific publisher's downloadable talking books.

Now if I can sell $475 worth of stuff more, than I will be able to pay the auto mechanic for fixing my car last week.

Well, I'm off to rehearsal.  It's our final dress with an invited audience.  Hope it all goes well!

Be back later!

I just realized that as of today I am now 14 days older than my mother was when she died.  No wonder I've been doing all sorts of "routine" tests this month to make sure I am healthy.  I have the last "fun" one on the 6th.

LOL Aren't you glad I shared my thoughts with you ;)

I have spent several hours scanning photos and cropping them and such as in order to make a nice bulletin for Ruby's service.

Did the people on "Grey's Anatomy" ever do any actual medical work besides sit around and talk?

I have never seen any character on the soaps actually work; all they do is sit about andtalk about themselves for the benefit of  viewers who haven't tuned in for over a year.

I am trying. She had a very interesting life. We don't have any photos of her when she was young (except one). I think she was orphaned (or abandoned) very young, but I never asked her such a personal question.

I watched soaps for a very short period of time.  It was in 1995. Only because my best friend was very ill and her sister came out to visit. We couldn't do ANYTHING until all the soaps were over for the day because her sister was addicted to them. All I remember is that someone was possessed by the devil. She probably still is.

Thursday morning greetings!  We are expecting DS Rob sometime today to pick up a package he had delivered here.  This evening we'll be at the University of Dayton, where I'm on a panel reviewing student presentations in my friend Andrea's grantwriting class.

Hmmm, would that be a Christmas present for Mary Linda?

It's been a long time since I saw DEATHTRAP on stage or in the movies, but I remember being furious that the movie gives away the surprise ending right up front.  Am I thinking of the right play/movie?

That sounds more like SLEUTH.

No, it was the watch he ordered for himself that she and I tried to get him to postpone so we could get it for him for Christmas!

I love the movie version of GYPSY, and I love Rosalind Russell as Rose.  Of course, part of that, as I have mentioned before, is that my Aunt Connie not only sounded like Rosalind Russell, but she was the real Auntie Mame.

As far as CDs, I guess the one I play most often would have to be Angela Lansbury.  Love it.

I watched THE ARROW last night....and I think I saw John Barrowman on there playing something - but the scene went by pretty fast.

Barrowman is a recurring character...he's the MAJOR bad guy in the city.

Really?  I guess I have no idea who John Barrowman may be.

Ahhh.....well since it was my first time watching, and I missed the opening credits....that explains that.  One more reason to watch.

As if Stephen Amell isn't reason enough!
