I just completed a new trailer for the audio version of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker.

I think it's fun.  Enjoy!

There is no way to watch Sundays and Cybele and appreciate it without seeing it in its original scope ratio.  But I don't think it's ever been on regular TV.

Happy December 2, everyone!

If there is anyone who missed out on the Broadway Cares Angela Lansbury/"Mame" holiday ornament (the first in a series that includes Carol Channing as Dolly, Chita Rivera as Charity and Bernadette Peters as Dot), they have yielded to popular demand and had the ornament reproduced.  The cost is $60 (the same price they charge for each new edition).  But, it's a unique series that, if you're like me and had all but the first one, you'll want to be complete.

Watched two movies last night.

On Blu ray, "DeathTrap" which was far more enjoyable than when I suffered through it in a theater.  It's still flawed, of course, but it's interesting to watch Christopher Reeve work post-"Superman".

Very fun Johnny Mandel score (that never saw a release on LP or CD).

Then I watched the Warner Archives issue of the made-for-TV "Dress Gray".  Still riveting.  Excellent quality DVD.  Very atmospheric and chilling score by Bill Goldenberg.

I also recommend the BC/EFA series of "Carols for a Cure," if you like carols. Some years are better than other, but there are real gems, such as Antonio Banderas singing "Los Peces en el Rio" and Bernadette Peters singing "White Christmas." This year's features the cast of the never-to-open "Rebecca."

Okay, one more slice of sourdough toast.  But that's it.  I swear it.  Really.  It's not a problem.  I can stop any time.

;D

When we lived in Pennsylvania Keith worked with someone that lived in San Francisco.  He would take us unbaked sour dough loaves that could also be kept in the freezer until I was ready to bake them.  They were delicious.  When we moved to Tiburon (outside of SF) I could not find any unbaked loaves.  Of course I could find plenty of fresh baked loaves to purchase to take home.

That should feel satisfying.

The new version of iTunes is completely irritating.  Everything is different now.  The playlists, which were ALWAYS viewable all the time on the left are gone - you have to click "playlists" now to see them.  Stupid.  Making an mp3 from a WAV or AIFF file - used to click on Advanced and "make mp3" - not anymore.  Now you have to go to
File and Create New Version and then you select - so extra work and completely stupid.

Agreed. Another example of something which worked perfectly fine being ruined by the constant need to change things.

I don't think I've ever seen it either but I've added it to my DVD rental list.

Has anyone read FATHERS AND SONS by Ivan Turgenev?  I'm shocked that I'm finding this boring.

It was not my favorite. I found the main character too irritating. Don't remember much else about the book.

Loving this BBC "Pickwick Papers." Very droll, and I love the way the Pickwick visually reminds me of Mr. Toad in "Wind in the Willows."
