Making lots of book notes - have a major decision about which sort of setting I want to do - I may find a way to incorporate both, but I think I've decided on what's happening to whom.

Facebook alert: I just went to my page and was informed that I was now friends with a Henry L_____.  Who the fat hell is he? I don't know him and I certainly got no friend request from him.

Is Facebook punking me?

And I am home. SUPERMAN s ready for its Dec 20reafthrough, Joshie can head to Hilton Head, and I can go back to ROBERTA.

And . . . two regional theatres have inquired about CHRISTMAS UP THE HOLLER for 2013! I'm gonna be a franchise.

Congrats on the franchising opportunities, Larry! ;)
Exactly.

And I have noticed weird names amongst my "friends" lately, too.

I'll try actually logging out and back in to see if that makes a difference.  I'll even close my browsers.  It's quite annoying. :P

Hopefully, it's just my computer and not a problem HHW-wide.

TOD:

Blake Edwards: Victor, Victoria; A Shot in the Dark; SOB

Glenn Ford:  The Left-Handed Gun; Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Lee Remick:  The Long, Hot Summer; Wild River; The Hallelujah Trail

Glenn Ford wasn't in THE LEFT-HANDED GUN.  That was Paul Newman.

I think you mean THE FASTEST GUN ALIVE.

I've never made refried beans. I've never seen a need to, either. They're served at every restaurant on every street corner in this town.

But I do know that the best are cooked down in a pot and then cooked in a skillet with plenty of bacon fat or lard to add to the flavor. That way you get some healthy meat in there to counterbalance those pesky carbs from the beans.  :D

DR John G. is my kind of eater.

Great Photo MBarnum!!  I like Cole's Giant wrist watch

That is his new Mickey Mouse watch which I gifted him in honor of my birthday. I told him it was my tradition to give gifts to others on my birthday...but actually, I had bought that for him a few months back and it has been sitting in my car's glove compartment all this time. I had forgotten about it until finding yesterday.

Cool! I still have my Micky Mouse watch somewhere.  I'm sure he loved it.

Here's an obscure Sondheim reference...Russian opera's Galina Vishnevskaya dies at 86. :(

Quote
Frank: We'll have Bernstein play next on the Bechstein piano
Charley: And Auden read poems and stuff
Beth: (in character as Jackie Kennedy) And Galina Vishnevskaya —
Charley and Frank: Gesundheit.
Beth: — the Russian soprano. Just pronouncing her name is refreshing enough!

:)

My last several posts have been made on the iPad mini that Richard just bought me for Christmas.  He says I can play with it until he has to wrap it on Dec. 22.  We've just met up with Rob here at Kenwood Towne Center in the Cincinnati 'burbs.

I knew it when it was plain old Kenwood Shopping Center.

You're going to Montgomery Inn, right?  Jealous!  ENJOY!
