I was, however, given my "big" present already, and it's what I'm drinking my freshly brewed, very intense cup of very good coffee from:

A new KEURIG!    :)

Glad you are enjoying it.

i also did not care for The Master mainly due to Joaquin Phoenix performance. I had the worse time understanding what he was saying. Mumble Mumble. A character choice but not a successful one in my opinion. He also would stand around with his hands on his hips in a certain way, many times throughout the film that to me was an affectation that became an obvious "character choice". But perhaps the main reason I did not like the movie was that I didn't like or care for any of the characters.

I think the previews look horrible and I used to like him.

So, I went online got the channel listing, emailed it to dad and told her what her favorite channels are.  I have it saved on my laptop so she can call me and ask when she can't find her tv shows

Good idea.

Barely two pages?  Two pages barely?  We'd better get off our little complacent butt cheeks - this is a HOLIDAY season, so let's get some festive cheer and some postin' goin' on around these here parts.

I slept until eleven-thirty - really needed it and that's my excuse for not being here earlier.

I shall now have to scurry a little and go out and get something to eat, then be back for this Face Time rehearsal - which I haven't heard anything about in three days.  We'll see if it happens.

So no one wants to see the East Coast Singer's show for free, including drinks?  Amazing.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We are back from Lima, having made 2 very informative and productive stops on the way.  First, we drove through and around Dayton International Airport and scoped out long-term parking options.  Then we stopped in Franklin at Walmart, where I found both of the "As Seen on TV" items that my Mom mentioned the other day.  Merry Christmas, Mom!

I've been searching for books I can get through the library.  I downloaded one book that came up while I was searching for a different book the library didn't have.  I noticed it has a forward by Bruno Bettelheim, the renowned child physiologist, and great grand father of our dear little Eli that Bruce entertained in Portland.

Nice finds DR Ginny.

Big relief, too, DR Jane.  I'd decided if she didn't drop some do-able hints last Wednesday, I'd put together the knitted shawl that I've finished and give it to her for Christmas.  The catch is that she knows I'd started it for myself, so would probably know it was a consolation prize.  She, unknowingly, gave me two great suggestions and will be pleased, I think.

I'm on it, but rarely use it.  I do use FictFact, though, and sometimes Library Thing.

Just watched "Downton Abbey Revisited" on PBS hosted by Angela Lansbury.  It showed clips from the show (including a preview of Shirley MacLaine in Season 3) and interviews with the actors and creators.  It was shown with interruptions for the pledge drive.  Luckily I had recorded it so I could skip over that part.

I'm not familiar with them-will have to do some research.  Can you follow what your friends read like on Goodreads?

In the truly misguided department, a very nice and well-meaning man is trying to put together a benefit to raise money for the tragedy with the shooting back East.  This seems so wrongheaded - this isn't a hurricane or a typhoon or a tsunami - this is a TRAGEDY that is not a natural disaster.  That's not what this is about.  These families haven't reached out to anyone for money and why would they?  I'm just baffled sometimes.

It's tomorrow night and I can't. I like her album and I hope it's a big success for her and Lanny.

I went to see my niece's sychronized swimming performance today.

Some audience members were so annoying. They have no common sense.

There are risers with benched seats. And their are staircases. Does it seem reasonable NOT to sit in the aisle on the staircases?
My sister had gotten our seats hours earlier when she had to be there. And these people show up 2 minutes before the show and practically sit on our laps (in the aisle/staircase).

They put two people and a baby carriage right on top of us.

I asked them to move. They did.

Then others also decided to block the stairs and sit on the bottom row of the staircase.

And later others sat two rows down from us blocking the aisle (and by this time there were seats just a few in from where they were seated.

It was so annoying. I cannot believe that people don't have more common sense. Or that the people in charge did not make an announcement not to sit on the stairs.

We were leaving after 2 more routines (for the people who sat two rows below us). Otherwise I probably would have said something.
