Tuesday morning greetings!  Today is Baking and Wrapping Day for me.  Richard was supposed to visit the doctor who did his foot surgery, but she is ill today and they will have to reschedule his appointment.

As for last night's frivolity over my "studying for England," I walked right into it, didn't I?

No, dear DRs John G and TCB, I am not studying the language!  The Nashotah House professors who are mentoring us on this tour have sent some fairly scholarly readings on church history.  As an auditor, I don't feel compelled to read quite so heavily but I'm at least scanning some of their recommendations.  One of my book group friends gave me her copy of Sarah Vowell's The Wordy Shipmates, which is about the Puritans.  And I'm about to add the first 2 installments of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall trilogy onto my Kindle for airplane reading.

Then there's Rick Steves and the Eyewitness travel guides...

In a bit I am going to do my last shopping for Christmas.  My sister Molly and her husband finally got to move into the house that my brother Dane owns....but of course there are NO appliances.....the former tenants took everything.....even though everything was there when they moved in.  Said tenant told my brother that they bought ALL NEW appliances in the five years that they lived there, and so they took them.

Said tenants have disappeared......owing a $350 sewer bill and electric and gas bills as well.....  My brother had to pay the sewer assessment, but the utility companies will have to find the tenants.  Good luck.

SO ANYWAY......my sister and I are going shopping today to get stove/refrigerator/washer and dryer for Molly.....  This will use up the rest of my savings from 2012....but that's all right....it's the end of the year anyway....and I wasn't saving it for anything in particular anyway.

DR ELMORE try Maxthon 3 or Comodo Dragon....two nice browsers.....Comodo can port all of your FireFox favorites and bookmars.

Maxthon probably can, but I have looked around much on it.

I have all my Christmas list finished, except for one gift.  I'm waiting on two copies of Brent's Christmas album to arrive.  Once it does, I can ship this last gift.

Good (late, once again) morning, all.

Yesterday was a mild form of hell.  Today is intended to be a very welcome rest with lots of ketchup.

Many thanks to DR Elmore for the surprise gifts of two (count'em) CDs of DR Elmore3003-orchestrated productions/albums!

I got the Cinderella DVD a few days ago but haven't had a single moment to watch it yet.  The CD looks to be a wonderful companion to that.  Thank you!

I've heard from DR Dan(theMan); his current work situation prevents him from logging on during the day. He'll be back.

OMG.  The Badger Theremin !??

I believe Dr John G. has outdone himself with this one, and that some of my precious day of rest is going to be spent sending this link

to unsuspecting friends -- who I hope I'll still be able to call friends after they see this thing...      8)

Envious of DR FJL who got to go to the East Coast Singer's show last night.  With this now securely in mind, I shall have to be careful how I plan my December 2013!

I'm also a little envious of that sandwich/panini grill.  I haven't the slightest idea why I've never bought one.  Actually, I think I had some very early version of one some years back and eventually let it go.  Can't imagine doing that now.  But I so love that kind of sandwich eatin' that I'd surely put on an immediate hundred pounds if I had one in the house.
