We watched a NOVA program about Gothic cathedrals and then the second half of Kennedy Center Honors.

'Night!

The Kennedy Center Honors just started here on the left coast.

are you recording it?  I was outvoted on viewing selections this evening

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

The bad news is Paul's mom died this afternoon.  She's been in the hospital and I had a feeling this was coming  He wouldn't talk about her and asked me not to ask.  We had lunch today and a couple hours later he let me know she died and that they knew it was coming.  She was in her 90s and had pneumonia.   I'm glad I was here to have lunch with him today.  He said it was just what he needed at the time.

I'm so sorry about Paul's mom, Cilla.

Oh, dear, very tired.  Kind of wishing I didn't have these two meetings tomorrow so I could write the contextual commentary, but alas I do.  I did start it this evening, however.  And I'm told there may be a problem with our guest star, Hal Linden - it's my fault if there is, because somehow when I wrote him about it I said it was Sunday the 7th, when it's really Sunday the 6th.  He said the 7th was fine because he was out of town on the 6th, but I'm just not sure if he means Saturday the 5th - it's confusing so I wrote him to make sure we're fine.  If not, we'll do without a guest for this show and he can join us for another.  I'm really hoping it works out, though.
