I'm about to perform a solemn yearly ritual--going from room to room throughout the house and taking down the 2012 calendars. But I'll wait until tomorrow to put up 2013.The 2012 calendars were hastily purchased and were mostly an unispired lot. They set the pace for the entire year. This year I took my time to get an odd and eclectic assortment in the hopes that they will help bring about a more interesting year (and hopefully interesting in a good way...)
Picked up three packages, ate some tuna pasta salad but did not finish it yet and soon I'll get ready to be on my way to the El Portal. Now, let's get the HELL off page three and ring out 2012 in style, not absentia. We must have a lovelier than lovely partay tonight - I'll be back around six to begin the festivities.
I've made in the last three hours a huge vat of chili. I do love my new stove! Sometime soon I've got to try out the oven.I'll have some chili and cheddar cheese andcrackers for dinner, and when the pot is cool, I'll fill a lot of containers and freeze some of it.
New Cat sitter - victim of Ninja Boo just stopped by and dropped off the key and picked up her check. Callie was not pleased to see her and really started hissing. It's clear to me that Callie will need to be boarded in the future to get her meds when I'm gone. Sharon said she'll be back some day, but in the mean time, that's the way it's going to have to be.
Better yet - let's all go to Jane's - except we'll proabably have to eat tofu and brown rice instead of rib steaks and crab and shrimp
