However, once he meets up with the ballerina and her husband, I truly despise the rest of the film. [SPOILER ALERT!] When Farley Granger locks Danny Kaye in the closet, and leaves him there so that he misses the ballet, I just about lose it. And then the ballerina and her husband laugh it off. [END OF SPOILER ALERT] That is when the whole film becomes nasty, meanspirited, humiliating, and Yes, even smarmy. Other than that, the film is fine. And it is a dumb ballet.Farley Granger locking Danny Kaye in a closet. Now there's a sentence Freud could have fun with. And Laurence Olivier was not in the closet with him.

Quote from: Cillaliz on December 31, 2012, 02:47:07 PMHappy New Year's Eve! I had a wonderful afternoon and got to meet 5 great kids that I helped come to the USA from Somalia via Kenya. They gave me thank you cards and a beautiful shawl/scarf. We all met at an ice cream shop and had a great time. They are some of the nicest and most polite kids (4th grade-10th grade) that I've ever met. It was a joy to spend time with themThat sounds wonderful!

She won't be doing great until she can walk out and go home. That should be in a couple weeks. We talked and talked and talked. It was really fun.

A very gay eskimo is talking to a trapper about another trapper who turns out to be Laurence Olivier. The first shot we see of Laurence is of him in a bathtub, grabbing some sort of animal skin that he proceeds to rub between his legs. Then he stands up and plays the rest of the scene (shot from the waist up) as he's dripping wet. The gay eskimo just titters in the background. But then they beat up Nazis -- or try to, at least.

Interestingly every day since I didn't get the judicial position, I've run into one of my clients who has gone out of his or her way to tell me thank you. It's been so cool and makes me thankful I didn't get the job and can continue doing what I'm doing
