And the word of the day is: INCHMEAL!

Framk Loesser's original lyrics

Inchmeal, inchmeal
Measuring the marigolds
You and your arithmetic
You'll probably go far

Inchmeal, inchmeal
Measuring the marigolds
Seems to me you'd stop and see
How beautiful they are

why one should ketchup before one posts

BLAZE the SuperDog is most adorable.......

We had great photos of DR DRUXY's adorable Chester last week and now this week BLAZE!  This place is going to the dogs.

With apologies to Callie and Ricky and Boo, of course.  Since we had pictures from DR JANE of a lovely kitty as well.....

And what about Nicky?

Forgive me Nicky.....I am nonplussed to have left you out.

He read what you wrote, and your apology is accepted.

I am back from lunch with my friend Peter Clem, whom I've known since a summer theatre production of GYPSY about 40 yesrs ago. When I moved to NYC, Peter got we working with him and two friends on a cabaret act that led to my becoming staff arranger for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. at one point, during my six-month search for an apartment, Peter rented me his home office space for a bedroom and we were roommates for about six t eight weeks.

I hadn't seen him in about two years so it was fun to catch up.
That's two in two days. Who will you run into next?

Perhaps his brother and Lady Macbeth??

Jesus, I hope not!  It was bad enough they sent me a Christmas card. I should have sent it back unopened.

The new deli that will be in Junior's old space will be called Lenny's, a good Jewish name, IMHO.

There was a Lenny's in Pacific Palisades, but I don't know if this one is related. I believe that Lenny's was bought by someone with little restaurant experience, which may account for the not-so-great reviews. I'm happy to give the new Lenny's a try.

Speaking of Sweden (the Notes), I began the Swedish crime drama, ANNIKA BENGTZON. Very good! I don't know if they'll be able to keep up the quality, but the first episode gets high marks from me.

Tragically a helicopter crashed in central London this morning (fortunately not close to where Ginny is staying).  Helicopters have to follow the line of the river but this one hit the top of a crane and fell onto a busy road. No news of casualties yet.

Sadly, two people died (including the pilot) and 13 have been injured.  Awful news, but still a miracle that more were not hurt given that it was during the rush hour and in the middle of London

Welcome Chris P!!!

I've done ten pages so far and will now take at least a two-hour break - then I may try to do one or two more pages, just to get me to the end of the chapter and to write the first line of a new chapter.

Had a nice work session with Juliana.  Someone stopped by to pay a visit, but saw all these cars parked in front, all of which belong to the ASSES across the street and yes that means YOU Annette Funicello's daughter, so she thought I had a lot of people over and didn't stop.  Wish she would have called - the mother Staitman and daughter Sarah.

Dare I admit I don't know the show?

VIBES for a great pit playing, DR Matthew!

I love playing in pits.  Should do it more often.

I am really trying to be good, but you guys are leaving me the really easy ones!

Made it through the school day.  Now on to youth choir, then I'm so excited that I get to revisit Legally Blonde tonight.  Playing the pit again.  It'll be a lot of fun to play the show instead of having to worry about what's happening on the stage or in the pit.  Looking forward to visiting an old friend.
Hope no parents complain about the content the way they did with "All Shook Up" recently.

It wasn't All Shook Up, unless something else happened. A teacher was fired, after the fact, for staging

Legally Blonde
I think we're both right. I'd forgotten the Legally Blonde story. The All Shook Up story was recently in Utah.

Well, a very fun if exhausting hour of tap with four other adults who had never done it before, and all excited about returning next Wednesday. And the floor is still intact.

But it was the two hours of rumba and cha-cha after that have driven me into a totally tired state.
