Well, mostly the news is good - what we thought were termites are carpenter ants. He's isolated the two areas where they are coming in, which naturally are the two windows in the living room that have the large dry rot problem that I've been telling these people about for two years now. He did find some minor termite evidence elsewhere, so he'll probably treat that with the orange spray. So to begin, he'll treat the two windows and that will take care of the carpenter ants. He also suggested we cut back some trees that are too close to the house - that apparently makes it worse. Then he'll give me a price for the termite stuff and that I'll run by the business manager - I'm not running the carpenter ants by anyone and I'll just deduct from this month's rent.
