Speaking of Brent Barrett (well, I think he was mentioned yesterday), any New Yorkers interested in joining me at 54 Below on Wednesday to see his "Night Songs" show?

Yes, he was.  You have a rival for Brent's affections.  The little Chinese Jewish girl who lives down the street from DR Laura.

Back from band rehearsal, tech rehearsal, and piano run-through.  Dead tired.  But it's a good dead.

Mae-Ling was asking about Phantom of the Opera, so I dug out the movie DVD that I watched once and we watched most of it on the computer screen. I sure wish they had recorded a stage version.

The video of the 25th Anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall was much closer to the original staging than the movie was.  It's worth a look.  The projections and stuff really were much better than the movie... who knew - oh, and the singing is much better

well the Pastoral candidate was heard, questioned and asked to retire for discussion -  discussion was held, the question was called, adn voted upon and the congregation approved the motion to "call" the  candidate as Associate Pastor , 88 for and 6 against.

Were the six against the same six that vote against everything the church does?

It was a secret ballot vote  so we do not know who voted against

Oy!  How can they do PROMISES, get so much right, and so totally blow those other things?!

Somebody should hang from a rope for that Greek Chorus nomenclature alone, let alone the staging thing.  OMG.

But how fortunate they had the (almost) full orchestra.

She enjoys going to the theater. But I think she is struggling with allowing herself to believe unbelievable stories. She wants to be practical.

I wish I'd known Toni went to Hamilton!

I remember well the person I would often talk with the played beautiful violin music.  She was thin with long dark hair and had a plain look about her that I really liked.  I can't remember her name.  I'm 99% this Toni is the same person.  Keith thinks she looks different.  I can't imagine there was more than one person at Hami who fit her description.  I really liked her and have thought of her over the years.  I doubt she remembers me, not by name anyway.

Have you communicated with her again?

I don't want to push it.  I wrote her on Facebook yesterday - you should do the same.

DR Cilla I'm sure you are, as usual, going to put me to shame with your weekend of frantic cleaning. ;)

Not this weekend.  I just washed the car, vacuumed the interior, ran the dishwasher, did the kitchen and bathroom floors on the main floor and cleaned the bathroom.

I have to do frantic cleaning because I don't keep up.  When it gets bad I got "AHHHHH!!!"  and have a cleaning frenzy.

Well, tomorrow's Presidents Day means everythng I mailed this weekend will take one day more to reach its destination. At least all my bills are paid, I'm happy to report, although I'm not sure my Ohio  property taxes will reach my sister-iin-law as quickly as she'd like.

DRcillaliz, I knew the end of the season before I watched it, and I still enjoyed it. These British actors who complain about tv seasons of, what?, eight episodes make me laugh since American actors have to deal with around 22.

And now I'm taking my walk.

I knew the surprise ending, but still enjoyed all of it.  Now I'm ready for season 4

So do I!  I saw it in the theater with a group of friends and bought the Region 2 DVD from England months before it was released in the US. :D

Weather underground is predicting about a foot of snow total between Wednesday night and Friday   They still aren't totally sure where in the area will get hit the hardest, but it looks like I cleared my schedule at exactly the right time
