I'm thinking about going to either Life of Pi or The Master tonight.   Or a short film festival.

I spent the day at the monarch butterfly booth at the nature festival today. Luckily I had a butterfly, chrysalis, and caterpillar to take along.

Did you return them to your garden?

DR Jane, Callie and Boo are on the new cat tree they got for Christmas. You asked for a photo a long time ago and I don't think I ever sent one.    Callie sat like that for the longest time, it cracked me up

Thanks for the great pics of the cats on their Christmas tree.

LOL< it was more of a cat tree for Christmas. but you're welcome

But it sounded better my way ;)

Yes. The butterfly was tagged and placed on a daisy, where he nectared for a few minutes before taking off. The others are back in their cages (so I can tag them when it is their turn).

I'm off to church and then to a party.  It's a "musical theatre" party where there will be lots of singing.  I was invited by the guy playing "John' in my production of the Helicopter show.  There are a lot of people who I know that will be going.  I'm not much for the social aspect of a party.  I feel very awkward.  However, I should go to this for several reasons.  1.  There really isn't a reason that I should not go. 2. It's good for the "image" that an MD show up a party where there is singing, especially with people you haven't cast. 3.  It's good for the self-esteem.  'Tis a puzzlement.

I'm thinking that I may go to The Master.  I can rent Flight and The Sessions on Amazon Instant Video and watch on my ROKU.  Paul wants to see Django (yes I've put it off this long and yes it's still here) but he wants to go tomorrow and the only showing is too late in the day to see it and be home for the Oscars.

Ok, just read a bunch of reviews.  I'm not in the mood for a serious movie.  If it wins anything I'll go see it next week.  I'm going to stay home and watch Flight and The Sessions

DR Cilla FLIGHT is kind of a serious movie.  I was expecting something different which is probably why it was also better than I expected.

I read GRAYSON last night (it was short) and was correct when I guessed I was in for a real treat.  It is a beautifully written story about the morning she spent swimming with the briefly orphaned gray whale.  I highly recommend reading the author's journey to the discovering of the baby whale & the happy ending.

I'm thinking of reading her other book.

Notice she is only wearing a bathing suit.  I expected to see her swimming in a wet suit.  Burrrr.

There are a couple of very slow readers at my library or they just haven't returned their books.  I've been next in the queue for two books for a rather long time, and I'm sure one of those books isn't very long.

The papers on the table are reproductions of the Second Innaugural Address, the Gettysburg address and the Emancipation Declaration, the photos are  reproductions of Lincoln alone, one with his son Tad, one with  General McClennan and one with some Union soldiers

If I need to purchase a book tonight I'm deciding between 3 fiction novels; "Mr. Churchill's Secretary", "The Russian Concubine", and "The Lost Wife".

Has anyone read either of these?

I'm very impressed with the decorating.

I was very pleased with how my chili came out.  It was no bean chili  with bacon and I made it medium/mild.  My 6 quart  crock pot was wiped clean and people came back for seconds but I did not win- I was not surprised -the  Grand prize winner, second place and third place all had beans and were HOT!!!!  Same thing happened last year - the judges  just  go for hot bean chile but I didn't want to waste my time making a chili I wouldn't  personally enjoy

The Vixter and I were both wearing three inch heels  because our dresses are so long
