Fox News has announced that Mitt Romney and his wife will speak for the first time since the election.

It must have been pretty creepy around their house with neither of them speaking for the past three and a half months.

LOL!!!

DR Laura I very much enjoyed the photo of Lincoln.  The sisters must have had fun making him.

Few shows today honor three-act show structure anymore - and they should.  The first act break in Peter Pan is after I'm Flying and in my opinion, it needs it.  The original reason, however, was to get Peter and kids out of the harnesses and to make the set change into Neverland.  For the two-act version, they do some completely unnecessary dancing and time-killing stuff "in one" while the set is changed.  It just adds time and is a bore.

I always thought the Second Act was boring because there is very little flying in it; except for Wendy getting shot with the arrow.

Last night I purchased MR. CHURCHILL'S SECRETARY and it didn't download.  I then purchased THE RUSSIAN CONCUBINE which I immediately began reading.  When the emails came in from Barnes & Noble about my purchases I replayed to them to take back the first book since I hadn't received it.  This morning the book had arrived and Barnes and Noble has since informed me of the fact.  I still might insist they take it back since it took so long to get here.

I think at amazon you have a certain amount of time to give the book back. You should check to see what the time limit is for B&N. Also, if you're going to wait to read it in the next week or two maybe you should just keep it. :)

First I have the 500 plus page book, and then I expect at least one of the 2 library books to be available, and then I have the book to read for my discussion group, and then I can read the book that took so long to get to me.

Has anyone ever ordered an eBook that took so long to arrive?

I haven't ordered an ebook that took long to arrive. But I don't always check right away.

But that said I have emailed myself some stuff that has taken 30 minutes (sometimes it comes right away).  And the first time I used netgalley it took a few hours (after that it always came within minutes).

DR Jane, I wonder if you spoke to someone at your library if you could find out about which books would be available to you as ebooks. It seems crazy that you have to wait until they show up in your system. I think they must have some idea which ebooks they are going to get.

I am only going to start watching the Red Carpet on E! at 6pm. It is on from 6-8pm. Apparently on ABC Kristin Chenoweth will be doing something (interviewing?). And also she and Seth are supposed to be doing the Closing Number on the Oscars. If that gets cancelled I will not be happy. I love the closing number (it's one of my favorite parts of the show).

DR Jennifer the ebooks come through a system for all of Oregon and it really isn't worth it to me to investigate this.  I haven't even asked about requesting books, though I don't see anything online about that.

I hope the show doesn't go too late since I took an Advil Cold and Sinus to see if it would help.  I will probably get sleepy sooner rather than later (although not from this med). It is one of the only cold meds that does not put me to sleep.

You should ask. You could save money by not having to purchase.

Have you tried reading any physical books lately? I can't imagine not being able to read physical books. Especially for the covers which I am obsessed with many!

BK's very own Costumer, Amy Adams, has been nominated for four Oscars.

When I used to order books from B & N using the computer it could take half an hour for them to reach my Nook.  With the library app on my Nook HD they begin to download immediately.  The odd thing was I after I ordered the "missing" book nothing happened.  I thought my order didn't go through.

Dozed a bit during the end of the Daytona 500, which I only watched because our niece Lauren is a huge fan of Danica Patrick.

Appreciated the notes.  It's sad how EVERYONE in regional and community theater craves doing those kinds of shows, almost to the exclusion of any other.  I suppose that was always the way, people wanting to emulate the latest Broadway trends.  Well, they can have them.

It's fascinating, though, because 9 to 5 was a flop and lost all its money on Broadway AND the road.  And last night's house on a Saturday night?  Half full.

Which made it half empty. It depends where the empty was whether it looked bad or not. (i.e.) The first five rows or so.

I have a question for all the west coasters.

What programming does ABC air after the Academy Awards?

As it will be still in "prime time" hours does it air network shows or does it hand it over to local programing?

They are repeating the Oscars immediately after it ends.
