Hmmm.... seems like everyone WANTED to like the show DR JOHNG....  I would be interested in hearing the score.

I never saw the documentary....but such events are held regularly around these parts.  ;D

Jane are you familiar with a restaurant in town called Cucina Biazza (sp)?

Yes, why?

We haven't eaten there since Bryan moved from here to Portland which was a long, long time ago.

Loved the movie when it first came out on video. A fictionalized version was what Robert Altman was working on at the time of his death.

What interests me about the musical is that it's a mix of fact and fiction. The writers tracked down the people from the movie to hear what had happened to them since, and then worked from there. The character Hunter Foster plays was made more of a redneck than he is in the movie or real life, and, at least according to the actor, he didn't mind at all how they changed his character around. He didn't see it as being his story.

DR Jane did you not read because you did not have anything to read or because of your ailing body parts? Earlier this week I did not read for four days. I just could not seem to start the book I needed to start.

I finished one book and went to sleep.  I didn't find a new book to read & then slept the following night.  Even though I began the new book last night I didn't read for long.  I did manage to read an hour this morning.

As for my body, I'm standing as I type which is only slightly more comfortable than sitting.

Friday morning greetings.  It's a sad morning in Middletown, because our friend Cathy lost her battle with cancer yesterday.  Her son John and our son Rob grew up together and remain such good friends that John was one of Rob's groomsmen.  RIP, Cathy...

Aww, DR Ginny I'm very sorry to read your sad news.  My deepest condolences for all those who love Cathy.

I need to stretch and then get some work done.  I wish so much of what I have to do today didn't involve sitting at the computer.

Such a buys weekend ahead! Saturday my sister and I are driving up to Portland to shop, shop, and more shop. Probably lots of thrift stores and a stop the the outlet mall in Woodburn. In the evening we are meeting our cousin Molly at something called the Funky Junk show or Funky Junky Women show or something where jewelry, antiques and crafts are sold.

And on Sunday, I think my buddy Mark is flying in from Wyoming. If this is the case then he and I will be meeting up for breakfast or lunch

I guess there were no photos from the HHW Mini Meet in D.C.

Chas promised photos when he returned home.

You have a great weekend planned.  I love to shop in Portland & we often stop in Woodburn.  Not once the Christmas rush begins.  We have seen the freeway exit backed up for miles.
