No-more-raccoon vibes to DR Cillaliz! Many years ago, when I was living in Alexandria, VA, I was in the upstairs bathroom, brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed, when I noises above me that made me think that someone was on the roof. I called out to my friend John, who was staying with me at the time. His response was the typical, "I didn't hear anything; you must be imagining it." Then we went up to the guest room on the third floor, which looks out to the bathroom roof. And looked right into the face of a raccoon. Boy, was John startled! Some raccoons are the size of a small dog and, on the roof, do sound much heavier.
from DR Chas yesterday:What the HELL??!!!I wouldn't be missing a show if I lived within a couple of hundred miles of the place.DR Chas, I have scoliosis, a curve in my spine, which causes a lot of problems with my back and neck. It's been a number of years since I've been comfortable enough to go out much in the evenings, even to a movie just down the street. There were a number of Kritzerland shows which I would like to have attended.
I was out, so missed the outage!
Thanks, George, for the links.

DR Jeanne, sorry, I meant to post this earlier -- I realized later that that sounded critical of you and any others who don't do as I do (or as I say I'd like to do), and I apologize. It wasn't meant in that way at all. I know I tend to be a little more active than many, insofar as having no debilitating health issues (for which I am very grateful), taking advantage of being able to drive hither and yon, keeping late hours, all that good stuff -- so I need to remember that my perspective is somewhat skewed. Sorry about the way that sounded, and I hope you can get to a Kritzerland one of these days.
So, according to this news, Champagne is as good for you as cocoa, but it's more fun. I like that kind of thinking.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6801694/Champagne-is-as-good-for-the-heart-as-cocoa-but-more-fun-scientists-find.html?fb
